As a Red Sox fan I do have to say that the World Series was an anticlimax.

Even without bringing the rivalry aspect into it, there were so many subplots to make the the ALCS interesting and exciting.

The World Series happens every year. And WS sweeps suck, no matter which two teams are playing. No drama, no suspense; just "let's get it over with", just an old routine. It's almost as if nothing is at stake for the winning team when they are already up 3-0 after the third game.

It would have been nice if the Cardinals had taken 2-of-3 at home. The Sox would have had a hill to climb and there would have been some suspense. But nooooooooooo....they tossed the Cards to the curb like a spent cigarette butt. No fun.

NOOOOOOO!! I didn't want to know who won until *after* I saw the game (still downloading it from MLB.com).

Oh well, at least I don't know the score yet...

You should've known to stay off of ABW if you didn't want to know the news! Any big news always hits here first, right after it comes on the TV. Sometimes I think people post here before the announcer (or reporter, in the case of other news) even has time to finish talking!

Personally I think it's great that the Curse got broken so unequivacally.

I just thought avoiding every sport related show/site/newspaper would do the trick

You'd think that after having the same thing happen with the Marlins last year I would've learnt the lesson

Oh well, just finished seeing the game, and although it would've been nice to have a longer series I'm glad Boston took it. (I have a couple of very happy cousins up there)
