I went to target today and I saw these prepaid AOL internet cards.

It's been a really long time since I have used AOL and wanted to try it again.

So I took a Starter Kit priced at 9.99 and 1600 Minute card for 29.99

I get to the register and was surprised both were on sale.

1 cents each I bought 5 more 1600 minute cards for a total of 6 cents.

It wasn't cashier error or anything a Manager came over and said that was the price.

So I just thought I post this to let anyone who is interested in using AOL know of the 1 cent target card deal.

I don't think they could pay me enough to use AOL & risk messing up my computer...

The last I read about AOL they were pushing/promoting some parasite. Do you really want to do this?
One day parasites and their ilk will be made illegal, I bet a few Lawyers will be pissed off when the day comes.

AOL would have to *give* me a PC with their software before I'd buy it. I test drove it years ago and it gave me headaches.

I like using AOL because there is a tech support chat and I reffer everyone to my page. Not in the chat room they normally IM me since I am already helping people.

I have also made a few Anti Virus and Spyware software sales via AOL people.

And since I just paid 3 cents the comissions I make out weighs the risk.

They expire 1 year after you buy them. But you have 90 days to use the minutes.

I had one of those freebie AOL cards lying around and when I had trouble connecting to the internet with my ISP I decided to give AOL a try. AOL must have disagreed with some other program(s) on my pc because it totally messed up my computer to the point I had to wipe my disk and do a complete reinstall of everything (sans AOL of course.) It was painful.

AOL sent me so many Free signup disks that I'm thinking of doing like a TV ad I saw and making the CDs into Christmas ornaments this year. I can't imagine having to buy a card to access it!

Plus, around here, usually if the weather is so bad that it wrecks the internet connection, the electricity's not too far behind in going off. Neither Comcast nor Det. Edison are very good at keeping things running when it gets really wet and windy...
