    (Split) Signature Discussion
iCodes US - Coupon and Deals available in XML API, Javascript or PHP and a Free Coupon Website for only $50 per month.
I'm sorry, I know that this is off topic, but I'm really curious about the FREE coupon site for $50 in your signature. Doesn't free mean $0? Or did something change that I'm not aware of?

The coupon site is completely free and always has been, and we provide a paid and free coupons and offers feed to go with it.

    Free works on 50/50 clickshare
Paid contains up to 100% your affiliate links

I'm sorry, I may be just a little slow, but I always thought that FREE means no cost at all. I'd like to think that my clicks have value.

So you want a free site and a free feed with 100% of the clicks?

The options are a site you can download for free and alter it to import from any service
A site you can download for free and share 50% of the clicks for free
A site you can download for free and have 100% of the clicks for $50 per month.

This is a free site running the free feed.. requires 0 maintenance as it's updated live, and you get all the files to alter as you wish.. costs $0

I want the Bears to win a Super Bowl.

All I'm saying is that "a Free Coupon Website for only $50 per month" is somewhat contradictory and very mis-leading. But hey, that's between you and the FTC.

    free = without cost

contradictory = a proposition so related to another that if either of the two is true the other is false and if either is false the other must be true

    Just sayin'.

The sig clearly has to be read as a full sentance.. not just the bit you chopped off.

The website is free because you can download it without paying..

I'm certainly not here to trick, scam or deceive anybody, but you are obviously trying your very best to make it appear like that. I'm sure you have your reasons.

If you would like to offer a re-written sig so it doesn't cause you any confusion in future I would gladly ammend it.

My God, just what we need, another conspiracy theory. As far as my reasons go, I'd like to see us maintain some level of integrity here.

iCodes US - Coupon and Deals available in XML API, Javascript or PHP and a Free Coupon Website for only $50 per month.
To put aside any further accusations of taking this out of context, here is your signature in it's entirety (which I believe I included in my first post). I still contend that free is totally without cost. But my dictionary is a little long of tooth.

Now if it's just a matter of awkward wording, I'm sure that you could fix that. However, I would think that the fact that someone has raised a question and admits to being confused (and I admit, I'm not the brightest bulb in the box) that you would be more concerned with the clarity of your signature then defending what could be construed as mis-leading.

That's simple. If there's a cost associated with it, just remove the word FREE.

So those affiliates who have downloaded the site and altered it to use network feeds direct or used it to add codes manually themselves have not got the site for FREE?.

The site is offered as a download for free, no registration required, no payment required, whats not free about that.

The feed is paid or free and can be used as you wish (with or without the site), the framework site is free which can be altered to use however you want.

...and mods, if it's OK with the OP, please split off these post that are unrelated to the original topic. I had no intention of taking this thread so far off topic. My apologies.

Lee, I have no idea. I only commented on what I see in your signature. Apparently we have different definitions of free. I don't see the ambiguity, all I see is a misleading statement. But I'm not your mother.

I've edited the sig, it's still includes Free Website (because it is), but think the sig may read better.

It's much clearer now, there should be no misunderstandings.

I have to agree with rematt... I'm sure you fully understood what you meant by the original signature line, but it was a bit confusing.

Thanks for listening and taking the time to clarify the signature line.
