    Amazon link ID
    Hi all,

For some time now I've been trying to figure out how to identify which Amazon links were clicked by my users, but I can't find how to do this.

Is it possible to know with the Amazon reports which links were clicked?

    Many thanks,
    J

    Justplugin,

Check your "orders" report - under the products ordered list, there is a link to "all activity" or "links clicked without orders" (not sure exactly, sorry) - it shows all the links clicked from your site and how many times for your given time frame.
    Peace,

Amazon has something called tracking ids. A similar thing is called "channels" in Adsense or Ebay. For amazon, the tracking ids are the same as the affiliate id that you include in your links. So you basically can end up with up to 2,000 affiliate ids (e.g. channels).

Check your account settings in your affiliate account. I seem to remember that they allow you to create tracking ids manually now-a-days. I had to request mine.

Now, when you build links, include different tracking ids for different situations. When viewing reports, you can swap between tracking ids on the top left. Uncheck "combined reports" and you will see activity for just that tracking id. If you download a TSV or XML file, you can see aggregate data with all of the tracking ids.

I really wish Amazon had sub-id tracking, but they don't, or at least my account isn't large enough to gain access to it, if it does exist.
Merchants, any data you provide to Google Shopping should also be in your affiliate network datafeed. More data means more sales!

    Hello Rexanne,

    Thank you for your answer.

Unfortunately all I see in the "Clicks & Conversion Summary" (I guess that is what you mean) is the number of links clicked but not exactly which links they were.

    All the best,
    J

    Hi isellstuff,

Thank you for your answer - I will certainly look into that. Seems like this is a possible way to track individual links.

    Have a nice weekend,
    J

    Just,

when you login to your Amazon reports, click on "order summary (under earnings summary) - click "view full report"

At the bottom of the report showing items ordered is a link to "Items with no orders" and then the arrow link that says "show all items" - this shows all items clicked from your site in the time frame you specify.
    Peace,

    Rexanne

I've been an affiliate for some time yet did not know it was there.
