March 6th, 2011, 07:25 PM #1What Affiliate Marketing Conference Should I Go To?
I'm ready to go to my first affiliate marketing conference.
Now I just need to figure out which one I should go to.
My main goal is to network with affiliate managers and other affiliates to figure out what works and what doesn't.
I have a few AdSense sites that do well, but my other domains have done horribly with AdSense. I need to transfer these domains over to some sort of an affiliate sales model. I'm looking for the best way to do this.
I'm not looking for a conference that is heavy on PPC. I gave up on PPC a few years ago. It is a difficult and evolving game with primarily short-term profits. I'm looking to build long-term value and branded domains.
I live in Wisconsin so I could go east or west.

The next one we'll be attending is Affiliate Summit in NYC in August. If you only ever get to one Affiliate Conference - it should be either the East or West Affiliate Summit. We have only missed one out of the last eight (since our first one in 2007). We have attended as both affiliates and as merchants.

I've found the Affiliate Summits to be really helpful. The one in Vegas (Affiliate Summit west) every year is a bit bigger then the Affiliate Summit East conference, but they are both very educational and a great way to make contacts.
