Google Product Search - New Requirements
It is time for my bi-annual, "put unique identifiers in your datafeed" post. This time I will phrase it a bit differently though.

On May 3rd, Google is going to require unique identifiers in your Google Product Search feed in order to be listed. This means you will be forced to include Brand+MPN or UPC/EAN/ISBN in the datafeed that you submit to Google Product Search.

Here is a blog post about this subject:
Google Sends Email about Attribute Requirements for Google Product Search

So my request to AM's... If you know that a merchant is including unique identifiers for Google Product Search, please also have them include the same data in your affiliate datafeed.

Merchants, any data you provide to Google Shopping should also be in your affiliate network datafeed. More data means more sales!

Its the same feed, GAN pulls it in as the datafeed. Good advice either way as we have see that is a big differentiator.

Same feed for GAN, but what about ShareASale, CJ, LinkShare, Pepperjam, etc? Do they all consume GAN feed's now-a-days?

Nope they all require special feeds and could go a long way if they used the Google feed.

Agreed..There are some merchants who have a Google feed and do not offer a datafeed in SAS because they don't know what is required or how to get it from what they already have. Uniform feeds on a network would be ideal but since they aren't very uniform anyway, a Gfeed would be preferable to none.
