    Groupon: Corn Niblets Galore!
As you all know, Julia works really hard putting together our daily national deals post...it's a pretty grueling process. But when I hear her clap her hands and squeal with excitement, it's because there's a really good deal running (that, or someone gave her a raise without telling me)

Today, not only did she clap her hands and squeal, she also spun around in her office chair. And that's because we're running an awesome deal tomorrow for General Mills. I just sent the newsletter out, but in case you haven't gotten it, the deal is $20 for a General Mills Sampler Pack, Coupon Book and Shipping...which doesn't sound very sexy, but then you figure out what's actually in the sampler pack:

12.8 ounce Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal
    13 ounce Reese's Puffs cereal
    12 ounce Kix cereal
12.8 ounce Cascadian Farms Organic cereal
5.8 ounce Fiber One 90-Calorie Chewy Bars
    5.8 ounce Hamburger Helper
11 ounce Green Giant Corn Niblets
9.5 ounce Old El Paso Tortilla Stuffers
    5 ounce Fruit Roll-Ups
10.5 ounce Chex Mix Muddy Buddies snack mix
17.5 ounce Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie mix
13.7 ounce Wanchai Ferry Orange Chicken dinner kit

Deal: $20 for a General Mills Sampler Pack, Coupon Book and Shipping (Up to $40 Value)

Sold out there as well. Only 500 available? That's pretty small for a national campaign.

It wasn't a national campaign It was only set to run in a couple markets. Our guy is reaching out again to see if they will go national, because it's clear the demand is there!

Ah, I see the mixup. We need better terminology here

So a national deal, as referred to internally here at Groupon, is a deal that runs in the majority of our markets. So, it'd be like Gap, for example.

When Julia and I look for deals to provide to affiliates, we look for deals that can be purchased by anyone nationwide (and preferably Canada as well, for our beloved northern neighbors), regardless of what market they are in. General Mills is an example of this. It only ran in Minneapolis and San Francisco, but anyone could've taken advantage of it.

I'll be more clear about that distinction going forward!

Thanks for making that distinction. That makes more sense now.

I hate to see those offers that sell out so quickly. It's nice that they're so popular, but it leaves many disappointed consumers.
