    Newbie Merchant
    Hi all,

Im a newbie merchant. And when i say newbie I mean still in the celophane. I am trying to self-teach everything I can about affiliate marketing. My company is busy creating an affiliate plan, my question/s is this...as affiliates what would you like to see most in a program? My site is a gaming site btw if that makes a difference. Besides high comissions etc what else could I offer to make my program enticing?

I look forward to your answers. And don't worry mods I have no intention of mention site name or advertising. I am not yet close to ready to invite affililiates to work with us.

    Thanks again!

    best
    Jo

    - Be transparent about your program and conversion rate ( no inflation of numbers )

Be willing to answer tough questions like:
    - Do you do claw backs - Removing a commission after it has been paid due to fraud
    - How much you will holdback - If someone is going to deliver volume, you need to analyze the cancel rate and fraud, based on 3 months of transactions you can see what the average cancel rate is and put in place a holdback percentage.

    - Set your threshold for determining what a super affiliate is..10 sales per day, 100?

Anyway that is a good start. More to come later.

What affiliate management software are you going to use?
