My local news ran a story on this. So for $5300 they are getting a lot of press again like when they bought that grilled cheese sandwich on ebay. I need to be on a look out for some of these oppurtunities.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WDVW

but this is the last amount listed US $275.00 and it has ended. I think he had more than 1 auction going.

I read somewhere that the sandwich auction actually only sold for a couple hundred bucks. Can't remember from where, or the exact amount, only it was much less than the many thousands reported.

Here's one, just saw on TV

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WDVW

Right now $300. TV exposure. Hmm. Plus you got to pay all the expenses. One of them being: "Winning bidder will provide adequate security for the cup at all times while on display."

    Security wearing mysite.com clothing

"My auction was even featured on the #1 watched news channel in the country..FOX NEWS and CNN"

Wonder if Golden Palace will get this one. Maybe i'll give them a little competition.

I can understand the publicity angle, but real people bidding for the chance to have a guy show up with a cup...?

If it's some sort of cosmic test, I hope they just failed. :P

My local news must love these ebay stories. So GoldenPalace.com has just won a big cornflake for $156.

Trust, maybe you could sell used bubble gum that was NOT chewed by Britney, a styro foam cup that was NOT used by Elvis, a tuft of hair that did NOT belong to Abe Lincoln, as a lot all together.

Or, perhaps, you could use intrigue, and put for auction a tuft of hair belonging to a mysterious famous person, whose name will only be displayed AFTER the auction has closed.... who does it belong to? Elvis? Marilyn Monroe? The maintenance guy in your building? Only you know until the bidding's over.......

Or maybe you need to be more blunt, why not ask GoldenPalace what they would like to bid on?

If you check out the bid history on this auction:
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=4521965257

you will see they were hot and heavy for a while. When I looked at this a couple days ago I thought that it was a great idea for a casino to be bidding on it, but now knowing they are an online casino, I am a little disappointed. Leno needs to call his casino buddies in Vegas and get them to start bidding so they can put this on display for all to see!

    Not anymore.
Let's go for the belly now!
    ---------------
Myrtle Beach woman is offering her belly for advertising space and is auctioning space on eBay.
    ---------------

When Amber Rainey read about Andrew Fischer's success in selling advertising space on his forehead on the Internet auction site eBay, the Myrtle Beach resident decided to try to earn some extra cash as well.
But the 22-year-old is offering a much larger space to show off a company's logo, name or product: her swollen belly. http://www.myrtlebeachonline.com/mld...e/10745252.htm

Interesting topic here, Golden Palace did win the grilled cheese sandwhich for a higher amount then a hundred dollars, I believe the end price was lagit because my local radio station friends actually called her and interviewed her about it.

Here are some interesting auctions as well. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...571175231&rd=1
This auction agreed to tatoo his body with your advertisement and it closed at $7,056.00

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WDVW this one is for belly back or you name it. Current bid is $100+

I wonder if Golden Palace will buy this

I would bet that would be expensive!! You can't blame them for buying this stuff. It is great publicity, gets them on the national news. You can't buy spots on national TV for what they paid for the sandwich.
