    Looking for specific Data Feed
    Hey,

Currently I am looking for a data feed similar to the one I am receiving from newegg through Commission Junction, however I need more specific data. For example the newegg datafeed supplies all their parts, however I need specific fields such as CPU Cores, Cache, Frequency instead of this all being lumped into the description section of my current feed.

Basically I am in need of a detail PC Part data feed with detailed fields for all the different parts. Newegg supplies all this information on their website, however I am looking for a solution aside from crawling the pre-formated product pages. Any solution like this out there?

Thank you very much in advance, looking forward to any assistance.

If you're doing enough business with a merchant or have a good business plan and relationship with the AM/OPM, you can usually get them to create a custom datafeed if they have the data available.

Michael's absolutely right that some merchants will gladly provide customized versions of datafeeds (though most will not).

An alternative is to create a script that parses the relevant data from the combined field (here, the description field) into separate fields. (Or pay someone to create the script.) Depending on the structure of the existing combined field, this might be relatively simple, or it might be very difficult or impossible.

Something like this is also very prone to break. Merchants are always changing things.
