    force login for thread view on new reply?
    After I log out and get a the "This thread is located at:" post notification the link in the email forces me to log in to view the thread. Why force the log in? If people choose to log out they will log back in when they want, for others who timeout it's no biggie, but it's an unfriendly PITA to those who log out.

    Is it only in specific sub-forums? Some are not publicly viewable.

    I'm not sure what email/link you're talking about. Could you give me an example?

    Ah yes, the last occurance was the nefarious site review forum, the one we must keep from public view ... someone not logged in might learn something or be tempted to comment. Oh pshaw the temptation. There have been other such occurances, in fora that shouldn't be "hidden" But I guess I'm questioning that mentality as well, but that's another thread.
