    Cool
I don't think they are issuing actual invitations. If you mean the +1 symbol, it showed up on my webmaster tools page last night. They probably picked a bunch of quiet sites to see how much load it would put on their servers.

I got an invite from RWW, but it took me to the signup page still stating they were over-capacity and some new spots should open up soon.

How to Get and Share Invites to Google Plus Right Now (Really)
Last night a Twitter friend sent an invite but I only received an auto response from Google+ saying:
The Google+ project is currently working out all the kinks with a small group of testers. If you're not able to access Google+, please check back again soon.
I guess that means Google+ didn't put me in the select group

I clicked the +1 button but backed off.
Why should I release my ID and life history to the world wide web?
What will it do for me?
On the surface, it appeared more intrusive than FB.

    Did I misunderstand??

Google +1 is a tool to recommend sites and yes attaches it to your Google profile.

The Google+ is their social network, I think they are going to call it circles, that's what I was requesting invites for.

Some of the programmer kids in the office had invites yesterday, but they were only able to pass out about 5 before Google said "whoops, over capacity, more later"

IMO, this new Google project is big. Right now I have no easy way to share pictures of my family on facebook. A pic I share with a family contact is visible by a professional contact, etc. Something I post on my wall about something AM related really doesn't apply to my family. I had to set up a private facebook group for my family to share pics/vids/etc that I didn't want shared with every single person on my friends list.

That's a big part of the reason I want in on this. The other features are just icing on the cake to me.

I think we will all be switching to G+ soon because those almost same issues we have with FB. G might have too much info but atleast they make sure you opt to keep what ever you want in private, with FB you have no choice on who sees what and privacy settings are always issues and enabled in their FB favor.

So far from the G+ demo and video looks like but, of all the features the 'Instant Upload' I do not like and will not join if there is no option to disable that.

"Thats why we created Instant Upload: so that from now on, your photos upload themselves. You dont even have to say cheese."

    That is a no-no...

For photos editing and sharing you'd love Google picassa and their companion free Picassa Albums (Public or Private) ... so simple a Caveman could do it!

We've shut down invite mechanism for the night. Insane demand. We need to do this carefully, and in a controlled way. Thank you all for your interest!

    OK..........I did it.

I installed the +1 script on one of my sites.

There is a new category on my webmaster tools that will show the +1 stats. Just waiting for now to see what happens.

I installed it too - the day it was announced. Nobody clicks on it. I guess it depends on your visitors, as well as the popularity of the program. I'm not sure either what counts as your "friends" to Google. Does anybody know?

We have been testing the effects of +1 on the SERPS and it seems to have a substantial effect on rankings. However it is not easy to get enough +1's to see more than a one place jump.

The stats in webmaster tools are starting to show as well.

Yeah they are sort of, one is the network (e.g. Facebook) and the other is the button ("like" fb button), they both work in together.

How long did anyone already in Google+ wait to get in?
