    Hi All

I have not done tons of work on my site - I have had it about 11 months - my traffic grew slowly to about 60 people a day in late September or so.

In the past few weeks my traffic has grown very quickly to almost 200 people a day.

Do you think this is just holiday traffic.

I don't sell anything on my site but do have google adsence and am making a couple bucks now - Yeah!!

Hard to say without knowing what is on your site. Yes, the holidays bring a tremendous spike if your site has keywords that somehow shoppers would be searching for.

Yeah, I had a bit of a Christmas shopping frenzy on my main site up to about 12th December, after that things tailed back to about normal levels.

Personally I guess traffic was about 25% up during Nov/early Dec because of Christmas traffic.

Ditto, if the products could be bought as gifts there's a holiday spike. I had a big one that slowed down just last week, but November was the ultimate.

If you've got anything that appeals to gift shoppers don't forget about other seasonal holidays that come up.

I had a growth in traffic of over 40% in November, but now it's back to pre-november #'s.

Have you got tracking in place to help find where your traffic is comming from?

I had a huge spike in my traffic a few months ago and I didn't know why since I'd made no changes. Tracking help find the cause. My site had been in a feature on USA Weeked newspaper's website and traffic went through the roof. Just a spike though, it didn't last, a little did stay around.

Sounds like they updated and you snagged some good listings.
