Did anyone else get dropped by Six Flags?
Supposedly Six Flags is dropping coupon and deal sites, claiming they feel they'd get the sale anyway.

I'm trying to wrap my head around the above statement.

Did anyone else get dropped from their program this morning (aug. 2)?

And what do we do now with the traffic we're still giving them (since we're so well optimized for Google), since old CJ links still function even though they don't track for credit?

I guess they shouldn't have accepted them to start with...
But then again, CJ merchants and affiliate managers there aren't too bright anyways.

We got dropped by them even though we had never published any coupons for them! Totally bizarre.

I have no idea who is running this program, but he/she is committing a major league mess-up right now...

I got dumped, I've sent them many sales over the last few years. Maybe they should start mentioning the coupon issue in their TOS?

Viglink/Skimlinks could be a stop-gap solution. That might not last too long though.

As a merchant, I can understand where they're coming from. I wouldn't, however, have dropped Publishers that are loyal to the program, and drove traffic and sales as a result. If they don't want to work with coupon sites, they should just discontinue their use (not drop).

Precisely my opinion. They should also answer their emails...

I was dropped too. CJ representatives told me that they "fought hard" to keep the big publishers in (and I am one of them), but Six Flags didn't care for that.

I wonder if the really big sites, like RetailMeNot, still work with them.

Well, their links still are up, & firing a cj cookie, (along with 9 others).
Although that doesnt necessarily mean they are getting paid tho.
