Question Can't log in due to message from virus software
I tried to log into my account on Shareasale this morning and my virus software prevented me from doing so giving me the message -

The website you wanted to see might transmit malicious software to your computer, or has done that before to someone else. It may also show signs of involvement in online scams or fraud.

WHAT!! This is what Trend Micro is telling me. Great?

I wonder if this TrendMicro message pops up for SAS product/banner clicks? If so, not a good thing.

They have a free site safety checker @
    Trend Micro Site Safety Center
The result I get for shareasale is:

xDangerous (The latest tests indicate that this site contains malicious software or could defraud visitors.)

Category - Disease Vector (Sites that directly or indirectly facilitate the distribution of malicious software or source code)
Added: They might be getting their info from here:
    http://hosts-file.net/?s=shareasale.com

But I'm no expert at this sort of thing.

The area of concern on that page seems to be
Classification: EMD (What is this?) = Malware

There is a link under "hpHosts Options" to request removal. Perhaps someone from SAS should do this? From his blog, it seems this guy is quite responsive to such requests. Then follow up with Trend Micro. They are on Twitter.

    Good ideas!

I also noticed today while trying to join a SAS merchant program, that the merchant appears to be hacked. Set off my virus (not trendmicro) alarm . The site shows "This site may harm your computer." in google serps also.

    merchant = greenn__t.com

I decided to write to hosts-file & they downgraded SAS.

It will still be listed due to being an ad server and having a negative association with fake meds sites. I was also told that TrendMicro does not use their database.

Can anyone confirm/deny alerts being reported if you click SAS merchant banner/product links on your site?

I am also having issues. My browser returns a possible web threat anytime I change pages on Shareasale.com

The merchant interface seems messed up to me too. I can't perform a search or use certain features. I have submitted a support ticket with no response yet.

My SAS sales are way down, but don't know if it's "just one of those things" or somehow related to SAS appearing in virus software lists.

BurgerBoy - This thread has posts about SAS affiliate interface wonkiness.

Same here, I recently made the mistake of upgrading to the latest version of Firefox, 6, I think?. SAS & CJ are unusable for me with that browser. Other browsers even chrome --are fine.

Firefox is really wearing thin for me these days. If it were'nt for the few add-ons I use, I'd wipe it off my 'puter.

Hey Everyone - we are working on the Trend Micro security issue, not sure why they have us listed as such but we are working to resolve it.

If you see javascript errors or dim screens, try to refresh the page or clear cache and refresh - it may help isolated problems on that as well.
    Thanks,
