Thumbs up Merchants Who've Increased Commissions or Improved Their Terms
I'm always complaining about poor merchant practices but I though it was time for some positive spin from bibby.

Below are merchants who've recently increased commissions or improved their terms. I think they're worth mentioning. I probably missed some. Feel free to update us about the good guys.

WaterFilters do net on SAS increased from 5% to 6%.
    Best Buy on CJ.
    Tiger Direct Canada on LS.
    CompUSA on LS

Impossible list to keep up. Commissions go up, commissions go down. Some on that list will go down again. When you're signed up to as many merchants as I am, it's almost a daily thing. Normal stuff.

What Trust said...pretty hard to keep up but those were merchants who increased their commissions recently.

Very interesting post. I am relatively new to this and apart from 5 Clickbank products that have earned less than $100 in 16 months I only promote one "real" product at the moment.

How do you cope with a large number of merchants given all the maintenance and constant input required of the websites promoting the products.

Is it possible to set some up and let them run on their own, and make money.

If it is not a secret approximately how many do you represent?

    Regards

Have you noticed this as having a positive impact for you as an Affiliate? (i.e., more sales)

In some cases it does. Depends on the merchant. I've noticed that 7 days is too low, especially if we're talking holiday deals. As an example, many merchants want you to post Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals now, to alert your customers that they will be having great deals. How fair is it if a merchant wants you to post a deal 2 weeks out and a customer clicks your link but wont pay you when they return to make a sale?

Bistro MD increased their commission to $75. Good approach and just in time for both the holiday season and the diet season that will follow.

You must be familiar with the Rule Against Perpetuities. (Common law rule that in essence states that no interest in real property is valid unless it vests not later than 21 years after the death of a person living at the time the interest is created.)

Many merchants will increase commissions for featured placements. If the numbers aren't working for you, don't be afraid to ask your affiliate manager how she/he can help. I know I can and have done a lot if a strong case is provided
