Hi All,

I am about to launch a new affiliate program through clixgalore to help selling our Egyptian cotton home furnishing products
We have the best prices available for egyptian cotton products as we work closely with the mills in egypt. we are planning to offer 12.5% commission for any sales

Please help me with the following questions

-Can you help to find some affiliate directories where i can announce this program?
-Do you think that this is a good cadidate product for affiliate programs?
-Do you think the comissions and retail prices are attractive?
-What other web channels of web distribution could I use?
-Any other helpful comments

Thanks,

jm

Hello JM,

Welcome to ABW

> Can you help to find some affiliate directories where i can announce this program?

ABW. You just did.

> Do you think that this is a good cadidate product for affiliate programs?

Yes, why not?

> Do you think the comissions and retail prices are attractive?

No problem with either

-What other web channels of web distribution could I use?

join shareasale.com as a merchant too. Start at 150.00 then you only pay once the affiliate makes a sale.

> Any other helpful comments

Make sure you stay away from parasitic companies, keep affiliates up to date, do research here on ABW, you will learn allot.

Welcome again.

ParasiteWareâ„¢ - is technology (including, but not restricted to, browser helpers, browser plug-ins, toolbars and pop ups/sliders) that knowingly or unknowingly undermines or removes another affiliate's ability to compete by changing, intercepting or redirecting an affiliate link. Parasitewareâ„¢ may be installed knowingly or unknowingly by the end user, altering their normal web browser functions and/or installing a third party application that works through the user's altered browser

Basically stay away from companies with these names:

180 solutions
when-U1
nCase
Zango
MetricsDirect
eBates
Top Moxie
Gator

I agree, try shareasale. I had a merchant at Clixgalore who was so frustrated she gave up on affiliate marketing all together just because of here problems with clixgalore.

We would do better to tell you what is RIGHT with SAS.

- SAS -
- NO PARASITES
- consolidated commissions from all merchants so affiliates are more likely to give you a try
- Pays affiliates on time every month saving your reputation
- more responsive: both to the affiliates and merchants
- "make a page" option. Even a newbie can make great pages for your products.
- the products section is easy for affiliates to work with
- You can give free datafeeds to your affiliates
- real time stats
- links are not blocked by Norton and cookies not targeted by spyware removal programs
- Almost all affiliates who make much money at this check them for merchants and use them
- Unimpeachable reputation for honesty
- Priced on the low side for a good network
- Great place for a new merchant

But most important of all:

AFFILIATES LIKE AND TRUST SAS!!

In this business, reputation can make or break you. So, NEVER let a parasite in your program or do any other nasty business and you should do well.
(Witches are OK, however. )

If it isn't too late you need to trot on over to SAS.

*I'll* go ahead and be blunt:

Seems that they're pretty dodgy! Here's a thread:

> Can you help to find some affiliate directories where i can announce this program?

Everyone seems to recommend Affiliate Announce - http://affiliatetoolkit.com/affiliateannounce/ as $79.00 well spent to submit to many affiliate directories at once.

Those same people will tell you not to expect much in the way of instant results and they are right

I did it, I definitely got posted on a few sites, in the first month I received less than 50 clicks from them, hopefully that resulted in a few joins (my tracking is not that advanced).

-Any other helpful comments

I work with Commission Junction and ShareASale (two different stores). I would recommend ShareASale, take the money you saved over CJ and spend it towards recruiting affiliates.
