How to see Sign-Up Terms if already joined
When you sign up for a merchant you sometimes have to read and agree to additional terms. Once you sign up you can go to the merchant info page (popup) and see basic terms and commission rates, etc.. If there are special terms can you see them there on the merchant page? If not, how can you see the special terms again once you've joined? superCool believes that he is subject to the terms on the merchant popup page since there are no other terms visible. Could there ever be additional (hidden) terms (other than CJ basic TOS)?

    thanks

A little more info - a merchant is quoting terms from their in-house program which superCool is not involved in. Trying to verify that those in-house terms could not also be attached to the CJ program. The commissions and duration are different among other changes, so they are not the same program. superCool could not have agreed to the in-house terms since they are so different.

I just tried one, House of Fraser. Had special terms which I agreed to. Then afterwards, checked the merchant popup and there will be a link to those special terms:

Program Term: House of Fraser - September 2011 Status Active Start Date 13-Sep-2011
    Special Terms and Conditions

And just tried another just to be sure, Apple Store has Special Terms and there is a link to those terms in the merchant pop up.

Thank you Trust. superCool went through a bunch of his merchants and couldn't find any special terms. Just went back and finally found one.

So the only terms in place are the CJ umbrella terms and any special terms within CJ. There can't be any other terms applied correct? A merchant can't apply terms from another network or in-house program - and they can't make up terms.

    thanks

"A merchant can't apply terms from another network or in-house program - and they can't make up terms."

Of course they can, it's affiliate marketing they even do that over on SAS. Nobody really holds the merchants toes to the fire on agreements. But if it worked right, yes, whatever terms you see at CJ and agreed to with regards to each merchant, should be the terms followed.

superCool you can be given special terms by a merchant in CJ but they have to put you into those terms. They would not be visible to you otherwise.

One issue I have had with networks is the inconsistency of where terms are shown. I had updated terms thinking all was good just to get slammed by an affiliate for termination. http://www.abestweb.com/forums/googl...re-129449.html
