I'm sure most of you know about this one but it may help some newbies.

I use this one DAILY and it saves me an incredible amount of time. Plus it's FREE, with no nags, no ads.

It's very easy but you need to learn the ins and outs to really discover the power. I use it many different ways for different reasons.

Be sure to go to OPTIONS and set the history size to the max of 1000. This saves all your previous keword searches so it's easy to go back even a month later and see which KW you want to target. Great especially if Overture KW tool is down.

Type in a single KW like affiliate. Then when you see a 2 word phrase you want to dig deeper on like "affiliate program" double click that one and you will see most popular longer phrases that contain that phrase.

Once you find a phrase you are interested in optimizing for (through the Overture tab)
right click to get a menu of search engines and go right to one of the SE. Let's say you want to optimize for "affiliate program". Right click on it to go straight to Google to check:
    1) How competitive is the phrase? How many pages are listed?
    2) Who's on top? Analyze their SEO.

Also quick link pop and site pop tools.

    Enjoy!

Better than using overture directly for sure - but you still have the same problems with singular/plurals being lumped together.

I always use wordtracker to find whether I should optimise for 'cheap widget' or 'cheap widgets'

It can make a difference between 50 searches per day or 500 searches per day!

Yes, thank you. That is an excellent tool. How refreshing to find 'freeware' that is not plastered full of animated ads.
