# How much earning to have \$\$\$\$ and \$\$\$\$\$

1. How much network earning do one need to make before it reach 4 \$ and 5 \$ ?

2. It tells what percentile of affiliates who've earned some money are in.

If I remember correctly:
\$=20th percentile and below
\$\$=40th percentile and below

etc.

There's no dollar amount, as this changes every day.

The same scale goes to the merchants as well.

3. \$\$\$\$\$ starts somewhere between \$300 and \$400 a month.

4. That's it? \$300-400/month?

That many people really are doing this for beer money, then.

Some of like it more for the peanuts that goes with our beer.

Every day is a chance to learn something new and an opportunity to teach others.

6. Heh, I made enough for the peanuts this month.

The day job is what pays for the beer. Incidentally, that's what also causes the want for beer.

That can't be right. I've been earning well over \$400 for months and I'm still stuck on \$\$\$\$.

9. The \$\$\$\$ shown now are for your average in August, September, and October. It is recalculated at the beginning of each month.

10. I know of one account that averaged about \$22 for that period, and has \$\$\$.

11. If \$300-\$400 -> \$\$\$\$\$, then CJ might doing it to motivate the publishers telling them

"Hey, you are doing so well!"

But indeed ...

Yes, that's why I would like a really premium category, the "\$\$\$\$\$\$" but I guess that CJ would not like to give advertisers the strategic oportunity to know who are the really big fishes...

13. it's not how much you earn per month. it's how much you have earned in "total". and I think \$\$\$\$\$ must be around \$2k-\$3k or so in total commissions afaik..

iucpxleps. <= please spell this, it's the meaning of life.

14. This ranking shows how you rank within the network based on the volume of commissions earned (subtracting any charge-backs). Ranked using the "\$" symbol, the Network Earnings are based on a scale of 0-5 "\$". New publishers will be ranked as "New" for their first three months in the network. Publishers earning zero commissions will be excluded from the overall calculation and given a "blank" rating. The ranking is calculated relative to the entire network based on the same revenue number used to calculate 3-month EPC. The specific ranking is as follows:

\$\$\$\$\$=95th percentile and above
\$\$\$\$=80-94th percentile
\$\$\$=60-79th percentile
\$\$=40-59th percentile
\$=39th percentile and below
Blank=No commissions earned.

Btw it looks like this .

IMHO I think that 'Volume' refers to number of transactions rather than monetary amount.

15. DPG,

when you mean 95th pecentile to get \$\$\$\$\$ do you mean, only 5% of the publisher has that status?

That's right.. and that means there are bucketloads of people making hardly any money with CJ. The 5% that do hang out at these forums.. some lurk, some post, some answer the same questions that have been asked at least 70 times before..

17. Hi Redfish,

18. That top 5% includes NetFlip, Grab.com, and eBates.

21. \$400.00 sounds low to hit 5 bars unless the top tier is dropping. Seemed like it took between \$1,500 and \$2,000 per month to hit 5 green bars last summer.

This thread was from way back in January of 2003. The figures in it are therefore obsolete.

23. >> \$\$\$\$\$ starts somewhere between \$300 and \$400 a month.

not possible

>> This thread was from way back in January of 2003.

but i think it is much easier to earn big money in 2003 than in 2005
higher commission and less competition in 2003

24. I think it's currently somewhere around \$1500 to hit \$\$\$\$\$, but I'm not positive.

25. In February, when I dropped from over \$2K per month to \$1.5K per month, I went from \$\$\$\$\$ to \$\$\$\$. So I think the 2K estimate is closer to being correct.
