Is anyone using the conversion counter for an affiliate site that does not process any transactions but sends traffic to merchants only?

How are you serving the conversion script since it is meant for a purchase confirmation page?

As far as I am aware this tracking code would have to be placed on the merchants page in order to track conversions.

Using the conversion code from overture, yahoo shopping, google adwords or anyone else is a bad idea for everyone. They are tracking conversion rates so they can increase prices on high dollar, high converting terms and categories. Don’t do it.

What would you do if it was your company and you had all that data?
