The script is for Amazon affiliates but I can easily modify it for other programs. Just ask.

    BTW:

It kills (makes them useless) TopMoxie and PopUpNetwork as well. Might work on Gator and others as well.

Let me know what you want me to finish on it.
It currently works for Amazon Associates.

I am really confused. On this page, you list my site, incorrectly called Flamingo.com, but the url is mine:
    http://celticonedesign.bravepages.co..._test_9-26.htm

So anyone who uses this will get an error coming to my page and say that I am hijacking links because I use frames?

The only reason I use the frames is so if there is a coupon code involved it is there for people to copy and paste.
This frame only stays if they are still on the original click thru from my site. The minue they would leave the original merchant and go somewhere else the frame does not follow.
There is no scumware involved. The frame does not come up when going thru anyone elses affiliate links, nor when a person visits any other site.
Also, people can close the frame easily.
I am deeply offended if this is your insinuaton. A lot of coupon sites use frames so people have the coupon code handy, and the terms of the deal handy when shopping.

I used your link as a test because one of your customers was complaining (at Amazon discussion board) that AOL was stealing your referals. After numerous posts, we still could not confirm if AOL was in fact hijacking your links.

Could you shed some light on this?

I could modify the script so that it would allow your frame and only your frame.

    Sorry for the confusion.

Whether my links are being hijacked or not, the way you presented my site made it look like it is my site that is doing something wrong.

I find it unfair that you would want to disable my frames. My frames do nothing wrong and help my visitors. I don't get what disabling my frames is supposed to accomplish.

If someone uses this and they get a popup when using my site saying the link was hijacked, they will get the impression that it is me that is hijacking links.

I am still working on the AOL thing.

If someone is using AOL, and the AOL browser and then comes to my site and clicks on a merchant link, AOL's shopping bar shows up.

Sometimes randomly they will overwrite my links. Still haven't found any pattern to it, and it is not with all merchants. When I come up with better answers I will share them here.

    Test Link Removed.

If you have time, follow the thread concerning your site at Amazon.com. It is a very long thread but you will understand why the link was added.

That wasn't the intention. The intention was to assist a customer of yours
in figuring out how to defeat the AOL frame. It was an ongoing thread ( and
very long, I might add) at Amazon to figure the problem out and figure a
    method of preventing it.

You can get your programmers to modify that script for your use. Since your
biggest competitor is EBATES and the script was created to defeat TopMOxie
... I suggest that you spend your time incorporating the script into your
site instead of slapping me around for trying to help one of your clients at
    the Amazon discussion board.

Sorry, don't have any programmers to help me. I will have to figure it out myself I guess. I did take the frames off my site anyways. With so many changes in merchants terms I figured I didn't want to be in violation by having frames.
Just made it so now all my links just open in a new window.
I do apologize, I misunderstood. I thought you were saying that because I had frames I was doing something suspicious.
Guess this stuff is just getting too emotional.

Honestly Connie, if scumlords were circling my site like sharks. I would be popping off every chance I can get. I just run a microaffiliate site with a less than a dozen links and the site is scumware hardened as best as I can achieve. Thanks to Andrew Clover!

Frames are fine as long as your merchant is P3P cookie compliant. If not...good possibility that your IE 6 users won't register a sale. You need to contact all of your merchants and inquire.

Amazon just went P3P compliant and that allowed me to take advantage of the protection that the IFRAME mechanism offers against TopMoxie.

Since that initial experiment, I discovered that it along with persistant focus defeats most of your garden variety scumware.

Morpheus is a horse of a different color. I have not been able to determine if my script is effective against it.

Looking at a sample of your links:
    http://clickserve.cc-dt.com/link/click?lid=WILL NOT WORK
    http://www.qksrv.net/click- WILL WORK
    http://service.bfast.com/bfast/click?bfmid= WILL WORK
    http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id= WILL WORK
    http://www.clubmomlinks.com/b.asp? WILL NOT WORK

If the script "WILL WORK" you will still have to check each merchant and see if:

    (1) P3P compliant cookies
    (2) The merchants site is not framed, break out of frames or uses target= in their links

You will also have to see if each affiliate network is P3P compliant.

You can instead use Andrew Clover's parasite.js (with modification) on every page.

Ok, at the risk of letting my total technical stupidity show, just what is the IFRAME mechanism? I know what IFRAMES are.

With all the posts scattered everywhere about different scripts and such I am getting more and more confused.

Maybe someone could do a post, list the different scripts and explain what each will do.

I am just learning all this technical stuff as I go. I know html inside out, know enough about php to run my site and that is about it. I am a quick learner luckily.

Something in the IFRAME prevents TopMoxie. What that something is ... is unknown. I suspect that TopMoxie only looks for the URL in the top window.

So what do I do, put iframes on all my pages?
And what do I put in the iframes? Sorry, my ignorance is showing again!
I am still confused as to what I can do to my site to make the iframes prevent topmoxie from doing things.
