Anybody got a handle on why whenU has links to programs they don't belong to? Seems a bit strange to me. Allposters keeps telling them to take the links down, they disappear for a short time and then show up again. Same with Amazon links. I also noticed they are now hiding their source code for the top frame on most merchants. Kinda makes ya wonder what's hiding in there dont' it?

Hiding their source code? thats not possible.

I assume the only reason they have the links to merchants they arent an affiliate of is so that they can be a "complete coupon code provider" or whatever. Example, if someone who normally uses their site is looking for allposters or whatever coupons and doesn't find them there, they may look elsewhere. Then if they like what they find they may look elsewhere in the future...

Unfortunately I doubt the merchant has much ground to stand on in telling them to remove it. Its hard to say "don't like to us", though some have tried..

    Grrr, these people are scum.

If this is true, I would imagine that the reason why whenU has links to programs they don't belong to is that they opened a new account using a different url.

The question is are they slipping under the radar and posting an affiliate url for a bogus site or is the entry just a plain link?

If it's a plain link, I'd go along with the coverage aspect however, if it's an affiliate link thats another story.

Bandits don't come in your house and tell you their real name...... The same thing applies when parasites apply with or get auto approval from a merchant!
