    Thumbs up Affiliate Marketing Idea
I am working with a merchant who will pay $800 per sale. The site has a very specific niche in a niche market with a low start-up cost. ( I wish I could tell you more, but until I pay for ad, I can;t)

Before I post the ad, I would like to get feedback on the following:

As an affiliate myself, how do you feel when there is no real time tracking? You will be provided with a dedicated account manage with a phone number to inquire about the leads you submitted, but client will only pay for new customers.

What do you guys think about this?. Its a High profit margin, that will allow you affiliates to bid on competitive PPC key-terms or SEO and still make really good money.

The only other problem is that it takes usually 3-5 months to close the deal...(once deal is closed you will get paid)

As affiliates, would you be interested in this offer? If so please just reply to this post. I WILL NOT PROVIDE ANY INFORMATION IN REGARDS TO THE OFFER, SO PLEASE DO NOT PM ME....AS I AM A LONG TIME aBESTWEBER. All i want to know if anyone would be interested in a program like this.

Perhaps simply "no" is too pat an answer. I don't trust most of the merchants on major networks (hell, I don't trust most of the major networks either), so I would find it extremely unlikely that I would invest time or resources to promote a merchant with no tracking, an extremely long lead time and a high commission that would be a great incentive to reverse sales (or simply not report them) MONTHS AFTER THE FACT. There's just too much exposure.

Maybe a pay-per-lead model would work better for this company ??

Hotel programs can work where you don't get paid until the room is charged and can take up to six months. In that case there is money to be made but you have to have a big cash reserve if you are doing paid search. They have real time tracking so you can see the reservations that are credited to you.

Am curious what you could be selling that pays $800? Its OK to post the product or service.

being careful not to break any rules, but one of the programs I work for has several affiliates averaging over $500 a free sign up and some over $1000 using rev share.
In this line, this is not uncommon

Ok, full understanding is needed to explain this

The adult industry has gone thru a lot of changes due to torrent sites and file sharing sites where you can download anything that's been recorded. This has made a huge dent in the pay site model. Some complain and whine, but others adapt. There are two avenues in adult that are thriving, Adult dating, or hook up sites are getting huge traffic and earning for consumers looking for sex, either just an real hook up, or an escort. Escort sites have been shutting down since Escorts.com has been shut down by the government. The other and what I rep for in adult is Live Web Cams. Male and female performers that flirt with members and get them in private shows of various types and spend the credits they have purchased. They get one on one time with the performer of their dreams.
We pay out a sliding scale of 20 to 30% depending on gross sales for the month, it's a long term commitment that you would need to dedicate to selling for, but as you keep adding new members and over time as they spend, some very healthy monthly checks get sent your way.
How much? I know you're going to ask that. Last year, we had a whale that spent $225k for the one year and continues to spend this year.

This is one of the programs I work with, Now I'm working on something that will use the same tech, but the payout will be tailored to the non adult world with CPA, CPL and more as we get more detailed stats

Thanks, sounds like a reoccurring commission model. I thought it was selling sports cars!

That's what rev share is, in adult it's the most accepted form of payment. Not realy recurring, but as the members you refer buy credits to spend, they stay under your account for the life of the account, you get a %. It's a very profitable business if done right, the company I work for is over 15 years old

we have a white label, getting a new template by the end of the year that's going to rock.

I'll be working this weekend on a blog for a webcam model and a flash XML driven template for a psychic. Blog is pretty straight forward, XML driven flash template looks like fun

Not unless the OP was referring to adult. There's nothing inappropriate posted so far.

I don't think this adult marketing, it's alternative marketing at this point, making note of different payouts that are available for internet marketing as a whole, we're putting the same thing into our new non adult venture as well and of course offering the regular types of payout as time goes on.

Am I the only one reading this thread who's noticed that Jason, who started this thread, apparently hasn't been back to respond to comments or clarify anything relevant to the thread he started?

    Curious.

that's because he knows the answer to his question would be No, the program does not sound reliable, and most probably isn't.
