Just wanted to let you guys know about these guys. They run their own program. A few weeks after I first started promoting them they put the following message on their stats page.

quote:
The reporting system is currently unavailable due to maintenance. We are working to serve you better.
    greeting-cards.com team

I didn't think too much of it, after all improvement is a good thing, right? Not in this case. By the time September 11th came, this message had been up for about 2 or 3 weeks. I was beginning to get leary, but knew they were located in NYC and cut them some slack. On September 18th, I started calling them from the info in WHOIS. I never got a real person but got ways to leave messages for several people. And also sent numerous emails to these people. All emails and phone calls asked one question: "When do you think the reporting system will be back on line." I never received any response from them at all. It has been a few weeks since I removed them from my site, but I wanted to make everyone aware of this Scum. They have time to update their pages and add lots of popups to them, but they don't have time to conduct business honestly. Just for the heck of it, here is their WHOIS info in case someone who lives near them, like Haiko, wants to pay them a visit.

I noticed that post before and as soon as I saw the post I removed them. I only sent them a couple hundred hits but by now it would be well over a thousand free clicks for them. Like they say SCUM!

I also dropped them after I emailed them a couple of times and got no response. I'm getting sick of getting ripped off by these ecard places. The worse thing is, is that I kind of liked the idea they had for the payout. Now if you go there it is pop-up heaven besides. I think they need to be reported to someone. Haiko, I would love to know what they have to say to you.

BTW- has anyone received payment or heard from Shared Greetings?

In other words, all of you mean that this program is probably a scam?

I saw alot of 'Get Paid To' programs promoting them and awarding members for each card that they sent.

    Family Affair,

    Welcome!

I didn't have a chance to stop by yesterday but will try next week. There is nothing, of course, wrong with a Home Based Business or a web based business from home ... I just think that any company whose tracking is down for over 3 weeks seems very unprofessional.

    Haiko,

Thamks for your help. The tracking has actually been down for over 2 months!!!! I haven't promoted them in a long time, but I know that at one time Packy and I both promoted them. Their content and pop-ups (number of them) continue to change. So I KNOW someone is home.

    Hmm....

    My detective instinct is working....
    Here is my scenario:

    1. They have some network problems after the WTC attack, since they host their site at Global Crossing, and Global Crossing Manhattan office got hit, so GC move their operation to an emergency location at New Jersey. Not sure, but they are supposed to have a back up.

    2. They may have trouble getting up the back up. Having some experience in Network and Database, it's usual that sometime the weekly/monthly back up failed (but they don't care since they are going to back it up next week....but hey..who knows...)

    3. After that, they are trying to make their site up, but providing another server, which is: NS1.GREETING-CARDS.COM 64.210.192.57
(I think this is greeting-cards.com own server, not sure where it's hosted, may be from their apartment or their bedroom or somewhere out there)

I am not sure if they are scammers, since hosting at Global Crossing is very expensive for them ... And also if they are, they can also easily be found.

Haiko should give some explaination next week.

    Just another point of view.....
