    Got this today:
<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR>Dear Online Bad Credit Loan Services Publisher,

You are receiving this message because Online Bad Credit Loan Services has changed their cookie duration. This change will go into effect on 11/25/01.
The cookie duration is the length of time a cookie remains active in a browser. The cookie allows us to
track publisher commissions. We allow our Advertisers to set their own cookie duration.

The former Cookie Duration was 30 days.
The new Cookie Duration will be 1 days.

    <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

    Sigh....

I know, I received that too - But why did you post it under fraud. Do you think they are fraudulant? I wonder how this will effect commissions?

ONE DAY cookie duration? It's not a good thing.

The reason I posted it under fraud is the description for this area "Merchant Fraud?
Post skullduggery here (cookie duration, non payment or terms). " seemed to be the place.

I won't use anything less than a 30 day cookie -- there are some exceptions to this of course, but _I_ choose to join them (eg. they show a shorter cookie duration up front, not change it later).

This is a form of fraud and after a merchant sucessfully recruits/entices new affiliates they often lower commission rates and cookie days to eliminate the chances of payingg out commissions. Not a good move by a reputable firm whose next step is to remove the trackingg codes so zero sales show up!!

I wouldn't exactly call that a "reputable" firm, LOL!

They have some shysty dealings - I had a personal experience with them however they promptly corrected the issue. But I always get my pay from they with hardly any reversals. So if I start not seeing those sales rolling in - I know what to do. Stack em and rack. I don't have time for non-paying scamming merchants. But right now - It's all good.
