That's a cool logo Haiko.

gotta love that corporate veil stuff.
Australia has just adopted that "business decision" rule you guys have that deals with directors dealings & stuff.. so go backrupt while you thought you were doing good for your shareholders... no probs....
unless company z is owned by company h which own 60% of company i which owns company a which own 80% of company z...that really screws 'em..
thats (in Aust anyway) where they'll try and lift the corporate veil to try & find out what the hell really happened..

anyway, this post was to say how cool the logo looks..and good work on getting this site up and running.

Go Haiko,

Here's some suggestions.

Get incorporated. Join PrePaid Legal - they give you the protection of being there IF and when you get sued. Join the ACLU.

Then put this statement on the page.

'We have investigated every allegation made here.

If your company is listed and you don't
like it, to bad. You should have thought about that before you knowingly or unknowingly conspired, attempted to or actually defrauded affiliates.

If you wish to take legal action against us for our claims about your company, take your best shot. We are waiting.'

That will scare off most of them. But if you get sued, you simply file a general denial and counter sue on behalf of your members Then you ask for ALL the records of the comany sueing you - sales, logs, checks paid to affiliates, names and addreses of affiliates, etc. as part of your discovery. The whole nine yards.

The cost of assembling the data will be huge in most cases.

Game over - 99.9% of all merchant programs will have problems associated with them. Plus, every merchant at every ad network is guilty of non-disclosure in failing to provide prospective affiliates with the true skinnie about cookie duration, batched sales and 800 numbers.

Their own data will prove your case in just about every instance.

And as soon as you get sued and file the counter suit, you send a press release about the suit with all your allegations to all the media.

Then play bigtime hardball.

Looks Great! Can't wait until it is up and running full time. Hoping this turns out successful for both you and affiliates.

LOL, Heyder. Yeah, that one day cookie, wasn't it? But "to bad". Is that a verb? As in to bad an affiliate. Too bad there are merchants who like to bad publishers!

How about how long a merchant has been signed up.

Is there any way to find out how many affiliates a merchant has?

Would epc reporting be a cj trademark?

You can't yada sex!

How about something dealing with the payment frequency, average payment duration (both how often are checks sent, and average days they are overdue..) - This would be good for the LinkShare ones.

One minor suggestion -- be sure to specify the background color in the body tag (you'd be amazed at how many sites don't do this).

For those of us who don't use the default settings on our computers (my default background color is NOT white), these sites look shabby.

Haiko,

I'm probably late with this, but thought I would add my 2 cents worth.

I'd like to see what countries companies ship to or services.

Who does the company pay when a customer clicks on links of 2 different affiliates before buying?

Do they allow affiliates to use popups, popunders?

Do they allow affiliates to customize links?

On the merchant landing page, do they use:
Popups? How many?
Popunders? How many?
800 numbers?

If they use 800 numbers, are those sales credited to affiliates?

If the merchant uses a newsletter and a customer buys from it, is that sale credited to the affiliate?

I'd like to see these topics discussed somewhere.

@ Ray

Yep Haiko, I agree with Ray. The more info you have on a merchant, the better.

Otherwise....

That is looking great Haiko. Just a couple of things

I think it would be a good thing to let everybody know the merchants "chargeback rate".

I assume the "Add information, Modify information, Close report and Re-open report" links on the left are just for your admin guys? It would not be a good idea if anyone could do this.

I look forward to it opening. I feel these members here at abestweb will be puttin plenty of input in for you.
