BeFree and BeFree Merchants seem to be going down the drain... Tracking with them has been a joke for November. (Has anyone else experienced this?) I currently have a merchant looking into it because my sales were so low with them. Even they don't know what to think.

Here is a list of BeFree Merchants that are behind on payment or haven't paid.

    NetFlix (September and October)
    Stamps.com (Commission from August-November)
    Sprint (August)
    Verizon Wireless (September and October)

Anyone else having problems with BeFree Tracking or Merchants?

GetSmart....Did well the first week and a half of Nov - nothing at all since even though my google listings in Nov. had me sending about 3 or 4 xx the targeted traffic......

I thought something was up, also still waiting for my payment that was approved the 1st week of the month - still "awaiting funds".

NetFlix (September and October) Yes, I think it is time for another call to Mr. Andrew early next week.

I contacted one merchant that is using befree - basically told me that transactions are being tracked but there is a problem uploading data to befree at this time. Recommended I use their (merchant's) program on another affiliate network.

I seem to be getting the merchant runaround from several BF merchants over tracking and conversion ratios. PcConnections had 3122 clicks, since July from my PcShops Cybermall and only show 2 small sales with commissions earned of 0.64. They say my linking codes all seem standard but they can't figure out why my shoppers don't buy the items since all their other affiliates show much higher conversion ratios. Anyone out there sending targeted computer products buyers to these guys show any sales??

Mike, Why the hell would you give them that much traffic with no return. Jeeesh, I'll give ya a dollar for 1000 clicks. Just joking but dump their ass. Obviously it is either PC Connections or Befree just using you. Either way your the one losing out. <IMG src=http://www.abestweb.com/ubb/icons/icon8.gif> I hate merchants and company's like that. Grrrr!!!!

I waste about 20 million impression and resulting clicks on merchants at BeFree, CJ and LS who never show any real sales volumes. It would take years with the likes of Barnes & Noble -IBM -Franklin Mint- Martha Stewart- CarParts -MicroWarehouse -The Outpost etc etc to get to minumums and by then you beg for payment.

Watch for many to just drop out as affiliates abandon these lame closers when the networks all have to get some type of EPC sumary stats.

You can bet the minute I get to the minimums, where I'm now close, for these BeFree and LS they won't see any more of those thousands of shoppers from me. Same goes for CJ merchants who can't close better than 1 sale per 300 clicks even without minimums. None of them are brand name guys who add creditability to a site like mine.

I'd just like to ask you (I have a travel site YouTrek) do you get many sales/leads from your travel page? If so would you like to tell me your best converters?

Actually I have one merchant I do well with at be free, Ancestry. They pay, they have their own message board for affiliates, they have a great program manager and they seem to really care about their affiliate partners.

I never incent my merchants and certianly don't bid on those travel terms. My travel page look like fairly lame and has some token revenue from Travelocity and Priceline. The best performer is the Hotwire program at LS but even that one is slow after Sept 11th. OneTravel.com is a private program and like most it sucks for converting. I might try some of those specialty Bed-n-Breakfast locator/booking sites as a niche'.
