Francis has a post which is a good idea. Where she listed a sale that went through and the merchant. A lot of our friends and family *cough* cough* (not us) will be ordering from our links. I think we should post the time of the sale, the time the transaction shows up and the merchant from which the order was placed in this section. This will allow us to keep track of some of their tracking and reporting of leads. It can give us a small insight as to some of the tracking. Even if someone already has purchased from the same merchant it should be posted here. All transactions that you are positive they were made should be posted. And of course any transactions that were not reported should be posted here.

There will be a lot of purchases going on right now that we can track. I suggest we take this and make the best of it. What do you all think. I think it's time to do our testing on fraud.

When will I keep my mouth shut. There go the sales for this week.

LOL, if people really thought talking affected sales, nobody'd say anything (unless they were really out of it mentally!)

Actually that could be a good idea (meaning the posting of tracking results). While I do think the network-side is okay, there's plenty of dodgy merchants and this is a good opportunity to see who's who!

There's one in particular I'm wondering about (Collegiate Mall  ) but they don't have anything that I want to buy! If they're legit, they've got to have the most pathetic CR on the net!

Big Chuck and Leader, that is why this is a good idea. If we post the merchants that are tracking our sales. It will give us some kind of an idea.

And if we post the merchants that aren't tracking our sales, again this will let us know about them also. We have always talked about testing the merchants with sales. So if someone makes a purchase post the results here.

Walmart-Purchase made and commission showed up several days later. So far tracking OK!!

    Mike, Yup!!!

Haiko, is the secret shopper section ready yet. I think it should be affiliates only with the exception of a couple merchants. Jared and the ones who post here regularly. This way the merchants can wonder who has been tested and who hasn't. I really think this could work or at least give us some insight into some of the programs.

There is no real way to differentiate between merchant or affiliate ... so there is a problem with that (I have a solution ... but will be 3 mos beforeit is implemented) .... all secret shopper requests come via mail and the reporting system is cookie based ... so it will remain as unbiased as possible (building algorithm as I'm typing this).

Updated report GUI is @ http://merchantwatch.com/report.htm ... anything missing 5-10 days left (*crossing fingers*)

FINALLY some CollegiateMall sales have showed up for me, too! One late last night (Eastern time) and one today.

About a .3-.4% CR on this one...(yeah, 4 tenths of a percent), provided they don't reverse, that is! Glad I killed their PPC bids awhile ago...

I think it would be a good idea (either via MerchantWatch or other means) to track all purchases and leads that we know are generated.

I think we also need to know the merchant link ID in the report. I suspect some links just don't track. Look at some of the EPC stats in CJ and some of those $0.00 links just look like they have tracking problems written all over them. Especially when similar links from the same merchant are over $25 EPC.

Staples.com thru Reporting.net. A sale was made at about 8pm 12/2. The commission showed up in this mornings stats. Wow, that was fast. It always seemed to me that reporting was way behind at Reporting.net. Anyways, wtg Staples.

Another update on staples. I had another order made there last night, 12/3 and that sale showed up this morning. ANother thumbs up for staples.

I know these guys from having hosted 9 client sites with them. Best damn hosting service going for the price. No one else touches their speed since they're fiber optic connected within the MaeEast Internet hub building. One hop coast to coast. Promote them since I know they honest and advised them to join CJ over a year ago. VERio sucks and these gusy rock.

I don't know the others (except one furniture merchant), but Hallmark sucks!

As for the furniture, sales only showed up after I griped here. They promptly stopped the next week, too!

    EcomCity.com: GoCollect ...

[edited: just reconsidered putting my stats in, I'm still not convinced that that is info that should be public.]

Suffice it to say, GoCollect absolutely tracks and pays.

Gamesville at CPABAnk isn't reporting the leads it should be. They screwed me before out of money along time ago. Looks like they haven't Changed. My guess is it is Gamesville and not CPA.

Also Jackpot.com isn't tracking right at OR. Stay away from them. They might be tracking ok at DirectLeads. I really haven't pushed them through there yet.
