I bet you can't find one person who has been paid by them. Whois says they are in New Zealand. How can you have them prosecuted?

The whole country will be crying in their tea-pots for the next month because Australia is going to be flogging them at cricket.
I doubt if they are capable of much in NZ at the moment, especially writing checks.

    [serious answer]..
I dunno. If NZ has similar laws to Aust., then you should be pretty much right. (ie, all derived from the same place: UK)
Try some of the NZ gov sites & look for fair trading or something similar.
Or get Rik with a gang of Mouries to go bang on their door.

    CK,

With a name like trash traffic ... Ummm http://www.404exchange.com will be ready next week and will offer $0.01 perclick and no popups (I was going to do a $3 CPM deal ... but the penny is better and won't aggravate visitors!). I will also have an affiliate proram for it (Clixgalore) paying $0.50 per webmaster

    Haiko,

I can't believe you were already working on a similar site/program.

I assume you will pay unlike trashtraffic.com
TrashTraffic's paychecks are like web pages that return 404 errors - they don't exist.

I was sending them some exit traffic on a few pages. I would send the surfer to a site that I get paid per click and when they leave that site they got diverted to trashtraffic. It was a pretty cool setup getting paid twice per visitor, but trashtraffic has never paid a dime.

I will have to check your program out.

Okay, How do you pay 1 cent per click? Who buys traffic that isn't at all targeted and pays you more than one cent per click?

If this is for real I quit. I'll just send all of my traffic to whoever will buy it for more than one cent and will actually pay me.

    Thats $10 cpm correct?

    Heyder,

TrashTraffic is now advertising 6 cents per click (it was 4 cents/click). The only problem is they shave your stats by about 50% then don't send you a check, but other than that it was a pretty good deal.

I would love to buy some cheap 404 traffic from inkjet merchants and redirect them via affiliate links to other inkjet merchants.

If you can redirect based on domain that it coming from, I think you could target it fairly well.

Oops that was to the first post.

I think you are on to something there but is that the case or not?

What I want to know is who the end users are and how do you find them.

Traffic is somewhat easy but traffic buyers that make you a profit are another story.

    Heyder--

    "Thats $10 cpm correct?"

    NO!!!

    It's $10/1000 CLICKS.

For it to be $10/CPM, you would have to be paid WHETHER THEY CLICK OR NOT. (Unless you can get a 100% click-through rate.)

    Quite some difference, indeed!

Well, okay so not cpm that's right sorry.

On the other hand ten dollars per one thousand clicks is that a good deal or not. Depends on what a click is. If a click is a full page view then it's nearly as good as cpm because a redirect would do the trick or if a click is a click on the new page viewed the success would depend on the very page that is displayed.

So which is it a click is a click on the page viewed or a click is a pageviewed?

Now I lost myself somewhere

"Good Buyers" would come from domains that are mainly sales sites. You would have to look at the domain when you "accept" it the try and redirect that traffic to the best matches as you can. Inkjet sales sites get redirected to inkjet merchants, software sites go to software merchants, computer hardware to computer hardware merchants etc.

If you get a stupid domain to join like "Stupid Joe's Lame Home Page", then redirect them to some contest, freebie, or to a search engine that you get paid for each search performed.

quote:
I assume you will pay unlike trashtraffic.com

    Of course!

The way it would work is ... if there is a 404 error on the affiliate site ... then their visitors would see this and it would be a "click" so for the most part it would be the same as a $10CPM

I will offer the same type program for site exits via "exit-enter.com" (soon)

Heyder ... It is very simple to make $$ with these types of traffic .... it is all just in the math!

I agree it's simple math but please excuse my ignorance for a moment. Where do you sell traffic for more than $10 cpm? Todays rates are around 2-5 dollars not 10.

Unless you can sell it twice somehow.

    What am I missing here?

Haiko if it's a trade secret please don't reply I don't want to ruin something for you or put you on the spot.

    I just don't get it.

There's no way I'd knowingly let my error traffic go anywhere but back into my site, and I'd want to let them know what was going on, too. If you use error customization to send someone to a page they don't expect and don't know how they got there, don't expect many sales from links on that page even if at first glance they seem to be a good targeting match. You can only sell things to users who feel informed and in control of what's going on.

I don't see how buying error traffic could be sustainable for many advertisers at even a penny per visitor, because the sales wouldn't be there to support it. Also, any publisher who would let their own hard-won traffic get away that cheaply doesn't have much faith in their own site's ability to close sales.

How many affiliates does amazing-bargains have? Are they all fools? That is what your saying! His affiliates "sell" their "REAL" traffic to him for a nickel! While I offer a way to make money from an error page ... not a complete sell out as you make it seem.

Jumping right in with the scheming merchants are the affiliates who pose as merchants and also would cut their mothers throats to steal traffic. I think blind links 404 redirects and TopText type ploys are all you guys can come up with to gather eyeballs. Every single traffic guarantee con artist has the answer for 49.95 for all you guys..if not you'll jump on the bandwagon and copyKat these lame services to HOPEFULLY steal traffic to your paying advertisers. Where the love for the poor web surfer forced through your maze of popup/unders and spawning page views. Long live PPC and there must be a way some sucker or network who actually pays for clicks that can be abused by some new automation script. Why not put up a free lottery or prize giveaway site and along with 80% of the others out there payout or giveaway nothing...as you earn a penny a click from the suckers.
