Hello! <waves> This is my first post after months of lurking...

My question is regarding EntertainMe's affiliate program. (Not their current program w/ CJ, but the independant program they had right after the merge.) I haven't received a check yet, or even a referral total for that matter because the stats section went offline. I know I made them some money because a few days after I joined (which was in the summer of 2001) they wrote and told me I had 50 orders my first day, so they wanted to set up a DVD contest with my site http://duchovny.net (the 50 orders were pre-orders for X-Files DVD's). Well, I never heard back from them about the contest, and I'm now getting the run-around about my check.

I have them as an affiliate at CJ now and they are paying, but I don't want to keep sending them traffic if they are dishonest.

Can anyone share their experiences w/ me? Have I just fallen through the cracks?

    Thanks!!

    gertiebeth,

    Welcome!<IMG src=http://www.abestweb.com/smilies/welcome.gif>

Not familiar with the program but I'd email them to see if you did fall through the cracks.

Thanks Haiko. I did email them again and got the same "We're working as fast as we can." reply. <shrugs>

    But I appreciate the reply!

Thanks for reminding me Gertiebeth. Those folks owe me some money too. This goes back at least a year. They did pay on a very sporadic basis. Lots of hype, not much to show for it.

They still owe me$200-$300 from the old program. The even gave me the exact amount at one time and said the check is in the mail. They actually said the check is in the mail several times but ultimately it never was.

All real efforts in affiliate marketing start when we receive our first check. Unless that happens quickly without begging it's a crap shoot showcasing a merchant. Dell should learn from this as well as all the other major brands. No check ..no effort=no success. Huge effort on new merchant getting clicks and impressions without sales =yank the banners and text links.. this one won't fly!!

I got an email from some guy Friday stating that his company had bought out Entertainme’s parent company and would be catching up all of the late payments.
