Your Best Christmas Gift From A Merchant
I was just wondering if other affiliates receive gifts from their merchants and if so, what were some of your favourites? I know that in other industries, if I brought you $300,000 in sales, I could expect a nice little surprise like a box of cookies or something... Years ago, I was dealing wish a company in Texas (not in the affiliate channel) and they sent me a giant pecan pie in a wooden box - very nice.

So far this year, all I have seen is a postcard from that merchant that I made $300K for...

I have gotten a few "gifts" right around Christmas time in the form of tragic updates, terminations, etc. Thankfully, they left me off their giving list this year!

I got a lump of coal from a trusted merchant this Christmas when they failed to fund their CJ account for the December payment.

    No soup for me!

Wow - it sounds pretty bleak out there! I guess I was lucky to get a postcard!

Bleak it sure is! In some niches if you give $300000 sale you "might" get a 3 day 4 night stay trip to Bangkok. Been lucky enough to get a wireless keyboard & mouse set from a merchant a couple of years back.

Vermont Country Store used to send a big box of goodies and everybody who came to my house kept trying to snag one of the maple syrup bottles.

I have received 1 postcard in 2008 from a merchant. It was enough to strengthen my relationship with them. I wish to see them more often.
