    Bad Tweets
Anybody here ever tweet something they wish they could take back?

Brit pair stopped from entering US over Twitter jokes - Yahoo! News

I'm not much of a tweeter myself.

That story is absolutely ridiculous and it is very hard to believe it is really true. If it is, the people responsible for refusing to allow the two tourists in should be fired and TSA or whoever is the responsible agency should pay for a return trip for them.

And by the way, you can delete your tweets.

You'd think a little bit of common sense would have been used by those officials.

A friend traveled to London in '71 just after graduating high school with his best friend. Since they were hippies they were highly scrutinized for drugs. They were artists and had all of their oil paint tubes squeezed out ruining them. So my friend who had $200 was asked if he would vouch financially for his friend to which he respond "F" NO! His best friend only had a few dollars and was deported. Security didn't bother to find out that he had $2000 coming from his mother on his 18 birthday from his trust fund.

The Brit pair story is disturbing that our tweets are being recorded.

Getting some now. Working on the 1st inch. (out of maybe 15?)

I don't believe you can really delete anything you put online nowadays. Not after it is recorded, archived, or regurgitated by everyone from the govt., to google. And that's just the letter 'g'.

Agreed, posting on the internet is like "stupid", it's "forever"...

Perhaps That's A Big DrawBack Of Twitter!
Definitely it feels awkward when a mistake occurs in a Tweet & you can't edit it but can only delete it.

Delete and then tweet a corrected version. I've done that a lot.
