    How to stop my text been copied?
    Hay Guys,

    Was wondering if anyone knows of a way to stop your webpages been copied (in the usual way, copy & paste)... Ideally a Free method. Maybe its not possiable, just thought someone might have a better insight on this issue.

    Thanks in advance.

    Not possible to stop, unless you make your text an images but then it will not be readable by search engions.
    MERCHANTS: Start showing your coupons directly on your site, that way your shoppers will stop leaving your site looking for them!! If not then remove your Coupon Box!!

    You can not stop them but you can prosecute them under IP laws afterwards if you find out and if it is worth it.

    If you want to stop the "Right Click and copy" you can add this to the body of your page:

    <!-- Code to be put in beginning of Body -->
    <!-- No Right Click -->
    <script language=JavaScript>
    <!--
    var message="";
    ///////////////////////////////////
    function clickIE() {if (document.all) {(message);return false;}}
    function clickNS(e) {if
    (document.layers||(document.getElementById&&!document.all)) {
    if (e.which==2||e.which==3) {(message);return false;}}}
    if (document.layers)
    {document.captureEvents(Event.MOUSEDOWN);document.onmousedown=clickNS;}
    else{document.onmouseup=clickNS;document.oncontextmenu=clickIE;}

    document.oncontextmenu=new Function("return false")
    // -->
    </script>
    MERCHANTS: Start showing your coupons directly on your site, that way your shoppers will stop leaving your site looking for them!! If not then remove your Coupon Box!!

    my ad blocking software lets me prevent pages from modifying right-click behavior. also wouldn't stop someone from viewing source.

    Hay kse, just to let you know that your code worked a treat. Thank you for sharing. I've actually been looking for a while to protect peoples articles I put on my site.

    I get the content, they get the backlink and traffic, just something I've been thniking of trying. Buts thats another story. Thanks again...

    Glade it what you were looking for, but its not going to stop 80% of the people from coping your content who want to.

    Yeah I know, but will put alot of the more inexperienced off who don't understand, and from what I know the more experienced will just rewite stuff so they don't have duplicate content, which is alright I guess.
