February 16th, 2012, 09:18 PM #1How do you know if your Affiliate links are being hijacked?
It's been awhile since I've visited ABestWeb and I have forgotten how easy it is to fall down the rabbit hole! I've searched and found a few great threads, but nothing up to date.
My question is;
Is there a way to know if your affiliate links are being hijacked?
The reason I ask is because I just recently noticed that I've had just about 10k click troughs on CJ and only $400 in SALES....Various merchants and mostly gift ideas. My other networks seem to be averaging the same amount of commissions as usual, could it be CJ specific?
Also, what is the best practice to prevent it?
Thanks in advance!!

It's best to check on your affiliate links from time to time to make sure that they redirect to the product page with your affiliate ID intact.
I am not sure how to check links in CJ but you can check your affiliate links in Clickbank by clicking on your link and at the bottom of the Clickbank order page, you should see this
[affiliate id=your affiliate id]
Hope that help. Have a good day!
