... but the descriptions are hilarious. The poster is describing his mother's obsession with e-bay purchases.
quote:
My mother is insane. Like, one of those ladies you see on the local news insane.

quote:
A look out into the living room. My mom likes to buy old glass crap, and also other old crap that's not made of glass, off of eBay. In fact most of the stuff you can see is from eBay. That chair in front of the desk and most of the drawers can't be pulled out, as they are blocked by boxes.

It's obvious mom has some anxiety/Obsessive Compulsive issues, which is what makes me feel bad for laughing, but the descriptions are just too funny.

My mother in laws house used to be like that, not from ebay but from garage sales and thrift shops. Some of it got cleared out, but everyone in the family is fighting over who doesn't want to inherit the house. They are gonna give it to my brother in law...let him have it for the hassle of cleaning it out!

Somebody needs to get that woman some help! She's addicted!

When she dies, they'll discover she had stuff worth hundreds of thousands of dollars buried in those boxes. What a waste! What a nightmare to have to go in and clean that stuff up... Where would you start?

If that house had an owner who was 5' 7" and weighted in at 380lbs with junk food and 3 month old meals laying on top of all the eBay crap...it would belong to the guy down the street. So add that rare sin Gluttony to the Obsessive/compulsive mix, wrapped in a lazy unbathed slob you have Jimbo.

Should rig the ceiling space in all rooms with live web cams and make a mint on broadcasting his day as a NET reality life experience. Only problem would be getting even the sleeziest of merchants and porn sites wanting their brand on the webcast....

I am amazed that the thread is 15 pages long, with 40 posts per page. The amazing part is that the nearly 600 posts were within a 3 day period.

I read a few posts. Her picture's on the second page. She looks rather normal.

The majority of the replies to the thread are one of the four:

    1. That's a fire hazard. Call the fire marshall.
    2. I'll gladly pay $50 for a random box just to see what's inside.
    3. Call TLC's "Clean Sweep" and/or Oprah and/or Dr. Phil
    4. Call a psychiatrist and get her on some meds, PRONTO
