Watching the Monaco Grand Prix qualifying on Saturday (on TV I hasten to add!) I notice that the BAR Formula 1 team has logically chosen BARF1.com for domain name. I'm sure it sounds right the way they pronounce it.

Not as funny as worldofart.com, but more corporate and therefore amusing.

Not as stoopid as Jaguar losing a $150,000 diamond off the nose cone in a crash.

But wasn't it a GREAT race to watch?

Good to see Trulli finally get a win. He deserved it. Button's next!

    Almost anybody but Schumacher!

How many do you suppose are looking for that diamond right now? I guess it was a tie-in with the new Oceans 12 movie - maybe somebody stole it? Heheheh...

    Also, too many crashes.

    Powergenitalia?

I remember it well. I sued, you know, since the domain is mine by any system of natural justice.

Unfortunately I lost, since my last girlfriend had my balls on a platter...

Let's not talk about the Monaco GP OK!!! That stupid a**hole Ralf "the Idiot" Schumacher forced my boy Alonso (see avatar) to the wall

That has had tree incidents in 6 races

I reckon Alonso would have passed Trulli in the pits.

He's only there cuz his big brother is you know who

    ---------

Always thought BARF1 was a funny name... You'd think a multion dollar team could come up with something better.

On the Jaguar diamond.. well.. there has to be a very happy marshall now

Yes, Ralf was basically a mobile road-block, but he certainly faked Alonso into a spectacular exit. Like TJ said - there is only one line through that tunnel, the rest is marbles. Alonso's frustration caused the error. He's got talent and we'll be seeing him on the podium a lot in the future, but much like his spectacular exit in last year's Brazilian jetboating event, he needs to keep his brain engaged.

Alonso wouldn't have caught Trulli. Trulli wasn't running at 100%, just maintaining a nice gap, putting in fast laps when he needed to.

I woke up the whole neighbourhood with my "WOO-HOO!!!!!" when I saw Schumi coming out of the tunnel with his left front wheel displaced. :^)

What could possibly happen during a SC period! lol

What's your take? Was he brake testing Monty? I heard other drivers saying how slippery it was in the tunnel, perhaps the difference in brake temperature once they slowed for a few laps caused it to "grab" and on the slippery surface? Perhaps a contributing factor

    c.) All of the above.

He's been very quiet about it.

    Brake test. :^)

After Imola, I swore that if Schumi was leading after the first lap, I'd stumble back to bed to continue my much needed beauty sleep. After the SC incident at Monaco, I've changed my mind. Things are getting interesting again.

1- On the RS - FA incident

Alonso was 2-3 secs behind Trulli (as close as you can get without suffering from the dirty air) and was waiting for Trulli to pit to try to get a few fast laps in and hopefuly make it 1st out after the pits.

Fernando said he tried for the previous seven turns to get by Ralf. Ralf said Mirabeau and Loews were not good places to let faster drivers by. This is bull$hit because I saw drivers move over often in these areas. St Devote and the uphill run to Casino Square are even viable options but RS doesn't let him by in these places either.

What I've never seen is a pass IN the tunnel (either for position or lapping) and this was where Ralf decides to let Fernando by--in a high speed bend with marbles-a-plenty off line--not in the more traditional passing area at the next chicane.

He admitted slowing at the entrance so that FA could get by--but he was going mighty quick by the time they got to the bend. If a driver only has gears up to 4th gear (this is what happened to the Williams) and the attacking driver is perhaps changing from 5th to 6th at that point (someone correct me if I'm wrong here), Fernando is only JUST THEN significantly quicker--so he pulls out and quickly whizzes by because he has no other option. It is a point on the track where drivers are expected to be accelerating--not braking or failing to shift up. Ralf needed to let him by EARLY, before the bend, if he wants Alonso to get safely by.

2 -On the MS - JPM incident:

Schumi's fault! Why he decides to brake in a dark tunnel is beyond me. Brakes blocked, JPM had no time to react.

Let's hope the chinmaster get's a few more DNF's to spice things up a bit
