    So this is a good thing for our environment!

    Then how can the government get in a screw it up.

    It is my understanding that these cars will lower the states gas tax receipts.

    Caleeefornia and Oregon are considering taxing based on mileage driven rather than on the amount of gas that a driver uses. Problem is that they can only tax the mileage drive in their state.

    So, cars will have to be equipped with GPS to follow their movements..........

    Don't worry SandraR your hybred minicar runs on your own methane gas and is tax exempt...except in Mexico. There they charge gas tax based on milage between buritto stands.

    1st part of article;
    "The Toyota Prius, a gas-electric hybrid, is so popular there's a six-to-eight-month waiting list to get one at Koons Tysons Toyota. Across the street at Rosenthal Honda, the rival Honda Civic Hybrid is in ready supply -- 11 cars sat in the sun on a recent morning.

    The Prius and Civic have similar new technologies, so it's not just fuel efficiency that's causing drivers to flock to Toyota's hybrid. "The Prius is a fashion statement," said Art Spinella, a consultant with CNW Marketing Research who surveys car-buying trends. "It looks different. Other people know the driver is driving a hybrid vehicle. It clearly makes a bigger statement about the person than does the Civic, which basically looks like a Civic."

    The Prius has set itself apart with a geek-chic look -- a thick, curved body, a high back end and glittering computer displays on the dashboard. It's the car of choice for image-conscious Hollywood celebrities -- Larry David, Leonardo DiCaprio and Cameron Diaz are among the faithful -- and the favorite ride of the Sierra Club with its EPA-rated 60 miles per gallon in city driving. Google Inc. founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page have burnished their hip anti-tycoon images by both driving Priuses. "

    Well SandraR's looks like the Urkle-mobile and lurches down the street like someone continuously popping the clutch, backfiring a oephious blue haze. Neighbors claims the haze kills lawn weeds and bugs, but have petitioned her for the damage and mental anquish of the squirrels dropping dead out of the tree lined avenue heights.

    She means no harm, she just can't help it. Now she has a sadist trend when it comes to family and chores. Every time she bends over to pick up dirty socks on the floor she makes the perps suffer. Sounds like someone prying a crusty nail out of her butt with a crowbar and the smell melts wallpaper glue.

    Make stuff up Sandra. Nothing needs to be real except the email address & password you select, & I'm not even sure about the email.

    The Washington Post has a good book review section.
