There's a forum here for bloggers, although I don't know how many or how often bloggers hang out there:

Think of a blogger as a journalist -- where do journalists hang out? Surprise: they hang out where they expect to find news, or they hang out where they can relax.

One of my journalism professors told an interesting story about his first job working for a big national newspaper. He was invited to join some other reporters and editors for lunch at a diner, and he expected that they'd be discussing the big news of the day. Instead, they spent the entire time talking about how to get rid of crab grass. The young reporter was disappointed. Years later, looking back, his main regret: he wished he'd paid attention, because he needed to figure out how to get rid of crab grass.

There are bloggers everywhere: at Starbucks, at Home Depot, at Fry's Electronics, at little league games, at school board meetings, at Disneyland, at the beach.

The writers I know personally, when they are hanging out doing anything related to their writing (other than writing itself), are hanging out on twitter/facebook/reddit or other social media venues where its well accepted to promote content and reply to the public about their articles.

Outside of that, when doing relevant things to their writing, they are generally doing normal things which engage them with their industry or topic of focus. Reading other blogs, hanging out in forums, and testing/researching different ideas.

Other than that, I think Mark's comment sums things up well.

Look up the blogger conferences and find those attending. There are several affiliate managers I know who specialize in bloggers primarily mommy bloggers. You have to appeal to them differently because most don't understand affiliate marketing. Look up the Walmart Eleven to get a better understanding.

    Hey Brett_Oranum,

Hope you're doing good.. try a Google search for Bloggers workshops or conferences in your area. You can also search for active Facebook groups.

I don't know a specific place where bloggers hang out, but I know you can find a lot of them in community sites such as Technorati, MyBlogLog as well as Blog Catalog...

You can also search in forums & blog Directories.

Hope that will give you an idea.. All The Best!
