T Shirt Merchant / IM Pro Needs Advice
    Hi,
I have been involved with IM for a few years now and getting to the advanced level. Took a stab at affiliate mktg. as an affiliate and now I am a merchant, so I have some knowledge of the inner workings, but am relatively new to AM.

I've created a high quality sports t-shirt site that I set up on wordpress and have installed "affiliate" plugin on woo commerce.

It's going great before the launch, I have sports websites already wanting to be affiliates even before I am open, and am thinking of running the program myself but unsure of how much work it will be.

From this forum I see it's a full time job. That would be a problem.

It looks like share a sale(where my competitors are) is a bit expensive initially and CJ won't take non-established merchants.

Any advice for me in terms of another network to consider? Clixgalore maybe?
Any advice in regards to an OPM or is it too soon?

    thanks!

Post Affiliate Pro has some low cost solutions you add to your php server. Since you have affiliates ready to work with you why not run a low cost in-house program with just the basics.

You might want to check out Avantlink, not sure of their pricing but they have quite a few sports related merchants too, so they would have the type of affiliates you are looking for.

If SAS comes off as spendy to him, AvantLink will be moreso.

Tar, does your WP powered cart allow you to use promo codes? You could always issue some codes to your interested direct affiliates and track with those for a bit. Post Affiliate Pro is pretty solid as well for a direct solution.

I'd give some thought to making sure that the site/cart are converting well and doing what you want them to do with PPC traffic or other traffic before you commit to an affiliate package at all. Affiliate Marketing is great for driving more sales for a site that works. It's not so great at driving sales if the site itself isn't ready for it.

thanks, I'm still trying to find a way to do unique coupon codes because I dont want to
make our codes public on the net.

avantlink turned me down because I am brand new. Guess we'll go solo and see how it goes.

If it's a code coupon, it'll get out there. You can try a coupon text link, that'll usually do the trick.

SAS I think is one of the cheapest, if you can't do that, maybe doing something on your own. I would steer clear of ClixGalore, never liked them.

Do you have an affiliate account on Commission Junction, Shareasale or AvantLink? If so I can point you to several of my programs and demonstrate.
