Exclamation "Wasted Days and Wasted Nights" - ...
No, this time is not the title of that song...

I just wasted two days and two nights trying to get to many websites and not been able to see those sites, or seeing only halve of the pages on those sites, including ABW, Google, a couple of my sites, and a few more important websites I visit almost daily...

Coincidences? - Maybe, but sometimes I think of everything, and don't trust anything...

Last Monday July 9, by the time I saw this thread: Malware may kill your pc july 9 I already had checked my computer from the link at the FBI website, and my computer checked GREEN (OK)...

The rest of the day everything was working fine...

On Tuesday morning July 10, I got a new "Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 9 for Windows Vista for x64-based Systems (KB2719177)"...

By Tuesday afternoon when I went back online to do some work on my sites, I noticed that I was not able to get one of my sites online, so tried different sites and noticed that not even G. was coming online for me...

Since there was really bad weather in the area at the time, I thought that my DSL was acting bad again... (My Stupid DSL is like a dog I had before, if there is thunder and lightning even 100 miles away, my DSL likes to crawl under the bed too.)

    -------------

By Wednesday morning I wanted to do some work on my sites again, but since the weather was still bad, I decided to just surf the net...

    WTH?

Same crap... Some sites I see, some sites I don't...

By Wednesday evening my paranoia kicked in, and I start to wonder WTF is going on...

I even checked that old stupid windows HOSTS file in case this was déjà vu...

    Well...

After yesterday, Thursday July 12, I saw that it was going to be another wasted day, I decided to check the last Windows Update files that I had downloaded, and I decided to remove the only file that mentioned "Security Update for Internet Explorer 9 for Windows Vista"...

    FINALLY!

Now I can see everything I saw before again, and fast...

    Update...
    UPDATE... 7/13/2012 3:01 AM

I don't care who fixed what, or why it works now... but...

I was about to shut down and hit the bed, but I noticed that the "Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 9 for Windows Vista for x64-based Systems (KB2719177)" update was ready to be installed again...

OK, so I reboot the computer and that thing got installed again automatically...

Well, I decided to check all the sites that didn't show up before, and now everything is working fine with that [Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer (2719177)] file on my computer...

So who knows WTH went on, or around, but so far so good at 3:45 am...

Mr. Sal I get days like that and wonder if its my computer, ISP or someone screwing with me. My office is on a public wifi so I run a firewall, anti-virus and have several voodoo dolls on my monitor just in case.
