Question That I Can't Seem To Figure Out
I am attempting to make a website page focusing around Orbit Gum. I am thinking about having information like different flavors, benefits, commercials, history, etc... The part I can not get past no matter how hard I think about it is this.
How do I write articles or create any kind of back links. I feel that anything and everything about Orbit Gum should be on my site page so how do I write any articles about orbit gum without having duplicate content? I feel like my site should already have all of the information possible about this subject so any article that I write would have to tell the same information to where I am trying to lead people. Even if I reword it, it's going to tell them the same thing.

For example, my site has different flavors of orbit gum. Can I write an article about the same thing? It seems like it defeats the purpose to write an article about something and send a person to pretty much the same information. Or can I write articles about whatever I want and just anchor text orbit gum? Like say, I was walking on the beach chewing orbit gum(anchor) when I saw a 20 foot wave. I don't know if this would work because it would not be relevant with a website about gum. I don't know I am so confused, please help.

Narrowing a niche isn't easy - you do want to find a topic that is fun & interesting for you to cover, but you're right that the writing has to be easy.

I think you could certainly create a website about gum - start with Orbit, and then branch out to other brands over time (to keep it fresh, and avoid duplicate content). In today's Google environment, your content should be as unique as possible, so avoid that duplication where possible. But I could definitely see a section called "Gum Stories" - don't forget quirky can still be relevant. Affiliate sites don't have to serious & factual! Write your own thoughts on the flavours.

Apply to any site that carries all candy & confectionery (especially the retro ones), and good luck

I'm sure you will get lots more ideas here..

I think there's enough candy & confectionery shops to make a go of a gum site - which is what I would focus on.

Amazon & Walmart sell Orbit, but I see the specialty "retro" shops as the way to go.

    > can I write articles about whatever I want and just anchor text orbit gum

I typed orbit gum miami in yahoo and first page 9th line down on home page leads to this site: ( note I have no idea who's blog this is or connection to it )
The Orbit Gum Chick Seems Shy - The Superficial - Because You're Ugly

So, you can see that you can write about any subject including orbit gum and you will be found. Sometimes you may have to do some creative writing, some with real life events and some that you may dream of to get people interested in your orbit gum. There are a few on amazon you can link to or even just a local store that sells orbit gum and link to them with some Adsense around it until you can find affiliate links.

Example short blog post but you should extend it:

The other day I went to fill up my gas tank and when I asked the clerk how much was the orbit gum she said $5.00 for the tub. I said what? $5.00 dollars for this small tub of gum? I like orbit gum but not that much, this is like two dollars at walgreens.

btw, this is true story but on a different gum but you get idea lol

I should! Buy it 3 packs at a time for $2 and some change at Wallymart.

Replaced my 2 pack a day smoking habit...
