Can You Tell Who Bought Through Your Affiliate Links?
Hi, i tried to make this concise. If one has a free membership website maybe a blog where the members actively use it, now on the blog there are a few affiliate links and i know you can tell which members clicked the links but what about the ones that made a purchase? Here's a simple example:
You're blog only has 10 members, Johnny1, Johnny2, Johnny3, Johnny4 etc. and at the of the day on Saturday you check your sales from affiliate links only, and you find out there's being 3 purchases from members, is there any way at all of finding out which members made the purchases, they might have all went onto the affiliate links, but there was 3 purchases made, so is there any method of finding out who made these apart from getting copies of their receipts or something ridiculous like that, if they don't do ANYTHING only make the purchase is there any known way, so you can maybe for example thank them for going through your site in an email, or just to plain and simply know? Thanks.

Yes. Dynamically passing their membership info to the network.

Caution: Some networks strictly prohibit this...

Doesn't matter if you think it's legit. If a network does not allow it, then...

Unfortunately, no - that's custom coding based on your application...

Most networks have a parameter special to assign for users I believe.

For instance in Linkshare they have something called Signature.

    What is Signature?

LinkShare Signature allows a publisher to track and generate detailed reports on the commerce activity generated by their site, down to the transaction level of each individual member, organization, or subsite. Using Signature makes tracking, managing, and optimizing internal programs efficient and cost-effective.
You need to check with the Affiliate network and see what the parameter setup is for that sort of a thing.
