    Should I decline this affiliate?
I do continually posting on a deal site every week and getting good result from it. Yesterday this site joined my affiliate program on sas. Should I decline it? I don't want to pay extra money for it. If I decline it will the site delete my later posts?

I'm not spamming the site when I do posting.

You are using their website to post your deals? Of course you should accept them!!

So the price you pay for advertising on their site, which converts well, is a small percentage of commission...

We publishers run businesses too. I can't believe you would even consider declining them, when you have been using their site for free.

I don't want to be mean.

I'm active as a regular audience on the site, I also post other merchants' deals to collect account reputation. These deal site also need good deals to attract more audience right?

We create good promotions for their audience, you know only real deals (more than 30% discount, REAL discount) can get better result.

Why should we pay for twice?

    Me either.

However, your mentality is the perfect reason to stay away from your program...

No, you want to be cheap.

They have bills to pay, and a business to run.. and if you post your deals on their site, expect to pay for the privilege. Heck, why not buy an ad from them? It's the same thing.

If you were posting unique offers there, then stop offering those deep discounts and pay them commission.

I can't believe I'm even making this point. You obviously don't respect the work (and expenses) incurred by affiliates.

The truth is that for some period of time you've benefited from a publishers site by posting your deals there without cost. And that's great. No-one begrudges you that.

However, now the publisher has decided that THEY would like to benefit from THEIR hard work (they created and maintain the site and they have developed an audience).

Let's forget about being fair for a moment and let's just look at this from a practical standpoint. By applying to your program the publisher is expressing their intention to further monetize their site and if it's not you, it will be a competitor. Perhaps by working WITH the publisher you can increase the amount of business originating from their site and create a win-win situation.

The decision you make will help others determine whether you are someone that they want to do business with or not.

You have their interest so speak to them. If you are paying for the privilege to post then they should wave that in exchange for commissions earned. As rematt said if it converts they will give you additional promotion on the site which will further increase your sales.

Not true - you've been here 2-1/2 years now and you continue to describe affiliate-unfriendly actions on a regular basis.

Good advice from all here... if you want to advertise on their real estate, you should compensate them for it.

Now that (hopefully) they are in your affiliate program, reach out, introduce yourself, and offer to post even more deals that are beneficial to both parties

As a Merchant I suggest that you happily accept this website into your program. You already know it converts well. So far you have enjoyed the free promo, but cooperating with them can bring you much better results. Reach out to them, perhaps they will provide your deals a better exposure, include them into their newsletter, etc. It's a great opportunity for your business.
