Just launched my 1st site about an hour ago. I'm pretty excited about clearing that hurdle. I've been doing internet marketing & analytics professionally for a few years, this is the 1st site that I've ever put together for myself.
The next couple of months I'll be focused on links & content. But I have a couple of questions.
Initially I have Amazon (books) & AdSense on a couple of (literally 2) pages. I'm doubtful that this will produce anything, but this is the area where I've done the least amount of research. Are there any reputable ad networks or affiliate programs that work with sites that have no reputation/ranking/traffic (in other words, brand new sites)?
Also, I have a lot of experience with A/B testing. I'd like to employ that on my own site, but I'm not sure what to test as my conversion point is off the site. What are others testing?
Thanks, looking forward to making my first honest nickel online.

You can join networks and then apply to individual affiliate programs.
Some programs will accept you, some will turn you down.
Keep working on your sites and apply to the programs that turned you
down once you have made progress.
Networks I affiliate with are: Commission Junction, Linkshare, Shareasale, Google Affiliate Network
It doesn't hurt to get on a network and to start to apply to the individual
programs that interest you. Develop your site so that merchants can get a feel of how their programs/products would fit in your sites.~Rhia7 -- Remember the 7
