    Does bolding or italicizing keywords have any affect on SEO?

    Not that I have ever heard but it can effect conversion on the landing page.

    can. Never heard of Bold or Italicized...

    The impact is really small so just don't think about it.

    The "bold" and "Italicized" html elements have been replaced by "Strong" and "Em" tags. Em meaning emphasis.

    I think it can make a slight difference if it's used properly throughout a site. It can tip off a user to what is important, but that also tips of Google. If you put every keyword in a strong tag then Google will see that as fishy and that would hurt the ranking of your page or site. So use these tags in their proper place.
