Popshops Users: If you're wondering why no sales tonight...
About 11:15, PopShops posted on their FB page:
Our data center is experiencing a power outage causing a disruption in service. Engineers are working on the issue and have provided a current ETA of 4-8 hours before power is restored. Please be aware your data is completely safe and will be available to you once we're back up.
P.S. - Sigh. Google Panda rolling out tonight. Empty pages.

Wicked Witch of the West: Oh, what a world! What a world! Who would have thought a good little data center like you could destroy my beautiful site? Oooooh, look out! I'm going! Oooooh! Ooooooh!

Thanks for the head up - as if I could actually do anything about hundreds of shops.

Note to self - spend some time figuring out Sellfire.

TY! All I saw was the headline, the date didn't register. But the heat's not off: there's thousands (millions?) of Popshop pages that are still empty, depending on how much other text you have on page. Googlebot does take note (that is, if you get spidered regularly).

8+ hours, no shops. C'est la vie!

I checked out Sellfire, but doesn't yet have all the nifty options PopShops offers on more advanced plans.

95% of pages are aggregated among several vendors. Well, time to rethink strategy, learn to at least display datafeeds from single vendor.

    Yeah, but still...eight hours...we feel JoyUnltd's frustration...
...subscribed to SellFire last month...figuring it out...doing some A/B testing...like what we see thus far.

Reminder to self: Do NOT keep all the eggs in the same basket. SellFire is another basket to help carry the load

I was a network sales engineer 13 years ago. Datacenters have a diesel generator backup system to keep power going in case of a blackout. It at least keeps the servers humming if the grid goes down. Surprised Popshops doesn't have that kind of service provider. Expect they will after this outage.

Apparently the backup failed also. From Facebook:
