    Lacking Logo Skills
I have no problem doing coding in any language. However, when it comes to a creating a new logo, I am clearly like a fish out of water. Do you guys pay hundreds of dollars for someone else to design your logo or do you use some sort of logo creator software?

    Share your thoughts please....

You could always make your own for now and then have a professional one done for you when your site starts turning a profit.

My 12 year-old is a whiz with PhotoShop and Gimp. However, she charges too much - therefore, we keep our logos simple...

Corel PaintShop Photo Pro 4 is the only Graphics software you will ever need, and It's the only one that I I've ever seen That has (Collapsible) step by step Instructions for the Current task Located on the screen That makes things easier... You can also Use "Gimp" the free alliterative to Photoshop and did I mention that Gimp Is Free? Search It On Google. Hope This helps...

Another way to design a logo is to download or use a nice font. Dafont.com has lots of good free fonts. Take that font into photoshop and add some effects and that will give you a clean working logo.

As suggested above, there are plenty of resources in the form of design software, fonts, icons, vector graphics and more... at your reach, just a Google search away.

Put them all together and you have an excellent base to start designing some good logos. You need to start somewhere, so give this a try.

Adobe Photoshop, if you can get a copy, works very well in this case.

And when you're raking in the big bucks, follow kaizen's suggestion and hire someone to create a smashing, new logo for you.

Good luck! let us know how you go.
