It says, "The compliance process is expected to be published by the BOE on or around September 5, 2012."

Doesn't leave much time. Once published the merchants probably need to have their lawyers review and then implement if they are willing too. In the meantime some merchants are terminating CA affiliates.

We need to get this info out to merchants, ams, opms. The ones I've mentioned it to did not know about it.

It really has been a quiet response to it. Those I have mentioned it to also were not aware. Hopefully all goes well and we can all focus on a great fourth quarter!

I just received the first email from a merchant forwarding the documentation to agree to the workaround in order to remain in a merchant's program.

Thank you Greg and Cindy and Greg Hoffman Consulting, and GiftTree.

C'mon merchants, you ALL can do it!!!!

I received a link to it from shindigz and stumpzparty. It is on the BOE website:

    http://www.boe.ca.gov/pdf/boe232.pdf

It's kind of odd, we have to certifiy that for last year (when the law wasn't even in effect) that we did not solicit in California. I did not, so not worried about that really. Just making sure I understand what I am signing. Some wording that I don't quite understand,

"An organization may complete the Additional Statement from Organization section on the next page, or any document that satisfies the requirements of Regulation 1684, to annually certify under penalty of perjury that its website includes information directed at its members alerting them to the prohibition against the solicitation activities described above."

Since I don't have "members" my feeling is that this is not applicable. Is it aimed at loyalty sites or non-profits that raise money throught their members?
