    ABW CheeseSupply Members --

Please note that the CheeseSupply affiliate datafeed has been updated. We now have approximately 100 new items, have discontinued a dozen or so items, and added our new CHEESE OF THE MONTH program.

As well, please note that free shipping qualified only for orders over $75.00, YOU'LL NEED TO UPDATE YOUR SITE IF YOU HAVE THE $50.00 FREE SHIPPING OFFERED.

    Thanks!

Another reminder on this update. Some affiliates have not updated their sites to reflect the free shipping at $75.00 instead of $50.00. We had to do this because shipping costs for cheese are A LOT higher than candles as we have to ship next or second day air on all cheese packages, where candles we offer free ground shipping.

As well, our CHEESE OF THE MONTH club is included in the current datafeed! We also have a CHEESE AND WINE OF THE MONTH included!

I've tried to update my site but I keep getting this message:

Wed Dec 10 17:52:51 2003 FAILURE Failed to get to get remote ftp file 'ch_product_attributes_tab_delim_v1.0.zip' at /CheesePeople/SiteBuilder.pm line 647.

I have the same problem with the Candle script....

It always worked before - any ideas?

Is this error still occuring? Is anybody else experiencing this error?

I've seen this error pop up from time to time, and it's nearly always solved if you wait 24 hours (usually some firewall issues). However, if you are still having problems, please send me all the system details you can (OS, exact output of the script, how you are calling it, etc).

Also, check your local file permissions to make sure that you are not trying to over write a protected file on your server/PC that the program is trying to download.

Andrew - Yes I'm still seeing this error. I run the script from my computer and then upload the pages to my web site and nothing has changed on my computer that should cause this issue. WinXP with Active Perl installed

Still getting the same error - can't update the site!! Its been more than 24 hours since I reported the same error is occuring and now we hit the weekend.

Sad to think you were nominated for an award with this kind of response.

FWIW - I just updated a cheese site (on the server) with no problems.

It may or not be relevant, but the line that would throw that error in my copy of the script (I think unmodified) is line 661 of 2693. Line 647 is part of a tiny routine that sets a flag to say the file should be downloaded.

so what do I need to do to fix this?

I had no problems running this script in September or the Candlepeople script. Now both give me the same exact error message, yet nothing has changed on my computer - I've not modified the script in any way.

Well, if it were me ...

First off, I'd ignore my comment above re: line numbers. I checked again, and I did make changes that push the lines down. So that was a red herring.

Then I'd dig into the script, extract the ftp info and see if I can connect via my regular ftp client. You may not have changed anything on your PC, but other programs could have, or your ISP could have etc etc.

Then I'd see if a fresh copy of the original works. If so, I'd add all my mods back in and try again. If that doesn't work, I'd go back to fresh again and this time add my mods a little at a time until I found what was choking it.

    Then I'd start to weep.

I'm sorry it stopped working for you, but I can't help unless I have three things:

    1) cut and paste of the full script output from the execution of the program on the command line to the very last output
    2) from the directory you are running the script from cut and paste the "dir /S" command (which will show the contents of all subdirectories)
    3) your SiteBuildingConfig.pm file.

Send those along to andrew@candlepeople.com, and I'll hop right on it! Without sitting down at your computer and being there in person, I need these things

Hi Heidi et al... I'm from Rochester too!

Andrew, if I am a CandlePeople affiliate am I also an affiliate for the other sites in your network, or do I need to go sign up for each site separately?

    Take a pre-launch peek...

Nice site! Can't wait to see it with some traffic running through it!

In regards to CheeseSupply accounts, yes, you must sign up for a seperate account There are technical reasons for this of course...
